“As a Brown student, there is simply no way to go about avoiding the atrocity that is Jo's on a Friday or Saturday night. Whether you're looking for a delicious grilled cheese sandwich or loaded quesadilla because you can't make one yourself (hey, I'm not judging), a greasy burger or chicken sandwich (spicy with, if you will) accompanied by french fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks, or the best salad on campus (I've never once gotten one myself -- that's just what people say), Jo's is your place. They've got enough food to feed an army of ravenous college students, which is exactly what happens nearly every night starting at 6:00 PM up until the dark hours of two in the morning. Whatever you're craving, they've got it: cookies, ice cream, Rice Krispies treats, pretzels & hummus, juice, soda, chips, and more. The perfect place for off-meal-plan students to treat themselves (or get treated ;) to a deliciously unhealthy on-campus meal, Jo's will always hold a special place in every Brown student's heart. Looking for a more balanced meal that isn't the underwhelming buffets at the Ratty or the V-Dub? Off to Andrews or the Ivy Room for you, young trooper.“
“The food and service has always been amazing, if somewhat SLOOOWWW. The seating in the front room is crazy uncomfortable. Not sure why they bought the most uncomfortable seating possible. No backs to the metal stools. Hope you don't like food AND comfort!“
“Scrumptious Quality Johnny-on-the-spot Perhaps you like tasty food. Perhaps you like it to be convenient. And at reasonable prices as well? O hai, have I got a solution for you! Every time I head for Long Live Beerworks, it's with a set of delicious beers in mind and a chance to meet up with friends. But then, gradually, my hazy brain realizes I've been looking forward to a larger goodness, and that in fact, I should bring my appetite as well. Why, you ask? Simply put, compadre, there is a delectable sandwich purveyor in the very same midst as all the hops and malt goodness where I go seeking beer happiness, and its name is Solid Gold. Rejoice! Snacks and sandwiches and assorted sundry stomach satisfaction is but steps from your beer order, and finished to perfection every time. If you haven't tried their hearty victuals, now's the time, for Solid Gold is cold refreshing beverage Complementary Gold, and in fact, also Stand-alone Platinum. Outstanding.“
“Went here for the first time and absolutely loved it. The Pina colada best of the best !!! The pinchos bomb and the chimi mix was absolutely flavorful. The carne frita was also very delicious !! Will be back soon . Very friendly and went above and beyond .“
“The Baked Scrod is delicious with French fries and salad with Italian dressing .Marie L is a great waitress always making sure you have everything you need and making sure you're happy with your service and meal. The owner Joe is always at the door to greet you and welcome you for coming here. Nice peaceful and relaxing place to bring a significant other to enjoy a meal. You definitely get more than your monies worth at this place. I will be back that's for sure.“
“I was confused at first pulling up but don't worry, you're in the right spot. This is a must try for wings, give this man your business you will not be disappointed.. the wings were so good I will definitely be back. Everything was fresh, fries stayed crispy (which never happens after you get home) but these were so perfect. I've never had lemon pepper wings before and so glad I got them. I would definitely recommend.. ty“
“Always a great experience there. Food was absolutely delicious as always! We started with Mozzarella Sticks (more like circles), they were super crispy and loaded with cheese. We both got the meatloaf dinner, was very good! Our waitress was very nice, definitely give her 5 stars!“
“Luckily a friend told us about what to expect here otherwise we would’ve been totally confused. There are two separate businesses located in one location called “The Royal Bobcat” with OUI over the entrance. If that isn’t confusing enough you’ll need to walk thru the bar area to find a couple of menus on a small counter or, you can use the QR code on each table to peruse the menu. Ring the bell on the counter and someone will appear to take your food order. If you want drinks you order from the bar. We had the gumbo which was a small bowl of a Southern grandma’s comfort food. Next, the gooey chicken wings coated in a Korean finger lickin’ glaze and the vege dumplings – crispy and delicious although I have had better at another Korean restaurant. Overall, the food was good and I really like the vibe of the place with stained glass and sparkly lights in an intimate setting. My only slightly negative comment would be the bartendress who is low on the scale of friendly and definitely not a smiler. Bartending isn’t difficult. Really it isn’t. I bartended in my youth in strip clubs to huge nightclubs (which is probably why I can’t hear well now). Your job is to be a purveyor of liquid happiness with a side of charm. Cracking a smile now and again will can turn this bar into a beacon of joy amidst a delightful menu of seoulful bayou Korean-Cajun fusion concoctions.Parking: It's Federal Hill where parking is always a challenge.“
