2 stars because my daughters liked their food if not would have put 1 because mine wasn't as pleasant, atmosphere was not my liking either music was loud and a few guys as well screaming, couldn't talk with my family had to scream to my family and the lady to order our food, who by the way had no customer service skills her face looked like she didn't want to work and tone like we annoyed her for coming in.

It was more a lounge than restaurant.

12/24/25—In my quest to have at least one traditional Hispanic Christmas dinner, I was advised to buy some food here. I was very specific in my mission: pernil and rice and beans.
I also made an executive decision—not to get invited to anyone’s party on the 24th or the 25th. After traveling the world, I am officially tired. I don’t want noise, drama, or small talk. I want peace, quiet, and home-cooked food without the hassle.
So I drove to El Fogón. And guess what? They already had exactly what I needed. I ordered pernil and rice and beans—though I think they call it moro (I’m not 100% sure, but it was rice with beans and that’s what matters).
On the 25th, I will proudly assemble my make-believe but heartfelt traditional Hispanic Christmas plate. The only thing missing was ham, which would have been excellent, but no worries—I bought three pieces of steak ham to make something tomorrow. Creativity will prevail.
Let’s be honest: no Hispanic restaurant ever has a full traditional Christmas menu like some Italian Americans do for Thanksgiving . Anywho I digress , I was helped quickly, everything came to $21.16—which immediately made me think of Revelation 21:16: “The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide.”
And honestly, Broad Street felt just like that—wide open, laid out perfectly, and ready to welcome me straight into El Fogón with my pernil mission. Order complete, prophecy fulfilled, Christmas dinner secured. 🎄🍽️ well more like lunch because I don’t tend to eat dinner !!!

It was my first time and I did not see a menu so I am not sure if one is available but it would help. I know is buffet type but still at least have the name of the meats, etc. Overall it was good food, quantities are very generous.

So first I'd like to make it clear that the food here is really good. Could've been five stars all across the board. Except for the fact that their customer service sucks. I went in with my wife and the lady behind the counter took care of her first. She automatically assumed that we were not together and didn't even bother asking if we were together. She took my wife's order and prepped it and proceeded to cash her out. Without even asking myself if I was gonna order any food. On top of that, she also gave my wife attitude when my wife asked her to give her a certain type of meat from the pork shoulder. The employees need better training on customer service.

This is a very authentic place , perfil rice tostones and salad , the owner Alberto is a larger than life jolly owner , he truly appreciates your business , the counter staff has been there for ages highly recommend this place , much better than la Grand Parada up the street , get a Fogo tall ice cold coconut water to pair It up nicely . They also have a quaint bar inside . Sape Mameluko , Saque now . Ya Tu sabe con el sabor criollo no se juega , mil respeto - El Tiraflecha ( en las redes Albert Dominguez
