Amazing, Authentic, and Delicious Liberian experience and Joel (1/2) of the JoRo name origin was so personable and hospitable, I only wish I had time to have gone back several times š¤
I even got to meet the magic behind the goodness in the kitchen.
10/10 Highly Recommend.
& I'm Liberian so I know good Liberian food!
The spinach was just what we needed after a 10 hour drive āØššæ& it didn't take forever to fulfill the order and Joel served it with extra fried pepper sauce upon request.

I found this place from a guy from social media and boy Iām glad I did. My husband and I came here and experiencing the worst dining experience at another place. We werenāt sure of what to expect but we were optimistic. Itās dimly lit. Nicely decorated. Music is a vibe. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out in a timely manner. The food was hot and some of the best food Iāve ever eaten in my entire life. So much balanced flavor. The cocktails were fantastic and curated. The food was so good we ate there twice during our trip to Providence. The second night they had live music which was really nice. We cannot wait to go back!

Restaurantji Recommends
Had the toborgee, cassava leaf and palm butter. The drinks were very good but very pricey and a light on the poor. My and girl and I loved the palm butter the best! We will def be back. We drove from Worcester to try this place btw.

My god. I donāt even know where to begin. 5 stars. 1000% recommend. Letās start from the beginning. Love the location! Itās tucked in the back of Atwells so off the beaten path. We went on a Thursday night. 6 of us. The setting was beautiful the details with the cloth napkins and gold flatware was a nice touch. I was grooving to afrobeats the wholllle time š„°. Music was perfect. Not too loud but loud enough to enjoy. We ordered our drinks. Only one bartender so it took just a bit longer than normal but was so worth it. He took his time with our drinks and their presentation. They were nice and boozy! He didnāt skimp. He is an experienced bartender. I asked for him to make something that wasnāt on the menu and he put his spin on it (gin bees knees with homemade ginger beer) super fresh! We ordered Mac and cheese, plantains, and chicken wings for starters. VERY VERY flavorful! Nice and spicy! Prepare your tongue! But not overly spicy (for me at least š my boyfriend had the sniffles) for my meal I had the fish gravy with check rice. Soooooo much food I couldnāt finish! Beware of bones in the fish. But still very good! Others had okra and chicken and there were literally no complaints. Please support Joro. This place is the real deal. If felt like home. Auntie came from the kitchen and hugged me and the other ladies. The bartender ended the night with shots with us and also hugs all around. This place is the one! Will definitely be returning!!

The food was amazing. The authenticity of this cuisine is what sets this restaurant apart from the others in the city. If you love great flavor paired with heat that enhances the flavors even more, this is the place to be. The servers are sweet and accommodating. Our server literally invented a drink to go with our meal on the spot just because we asked him for recommendation.
The music and atmosphere allowed us to enjoy the entire experience. Weāll definitely be back, we felt like we were eating with family.
