I went to the Knead donuts shop on Elmgrove Avenue in Providence and I got terrible service. I just ordered a regular iced tea, and they gave it to me in a cheap plastic cup (of course they don't want to spend money on cups). I got in my car and the tea dribbled all over my shirt and seat. I couldn't find the source of the spill, but I ended up stopping at Dunkin' Donuts and dumping my iced tea into that cup. Otherwise, the donuts are very good.

This is a review of the flourless donut options only! I love seeing places with flourless/gf options, and I applaud knead for their effort.. but their flourless donuts need some work. They were rather small, although anyone in the gf world has come to expect that. One was far too moist and seemed like it had been soaked in some liquid for far too long? Very strange texture, not particularly enjoyable. And the other a bit too dry. It seems they are baked, not fried, which gives them more of a cake in the shape of donut flavor/texture, instead of an actual donut. Perhaps knead can re-evaluate their flourless recipe? Given the look of their regular donuts I think they can do much better!

Knead has some of the best donuts in RI! I highly recommend going and trying them all!

STALE PRODUCTS =============== My husband should have returned everything for a full refund. If they charge such exorbitant prices I expect their products would be fresh. Everything tasted over a day old. I took one bite of the muffin and that was it for me. It was hard and tasted bad. My husband ate the regular doughnut because he was hungry, but he said it wasn't good. He was sick to his stomach. Need to check on my in-laws to see how they are feeling. They raved about this place and I am sure they are mortified.

i would say the donuts here were decent. I dont know if id choose to come again, but it is supposedly very popular. the interior was very cute and the service was great so if id give them a 5 for that. also if you order online they make your drinks only after you arrive. the coffee was also pretty solid. as for the donuts, ive definitely had better. the best one was probably the cinnamon roll and the passion fruit. i think they generally really nailed the brioche. the gingerbread was kind of mushy even though the spices were good and the old fashioned was way too sweet and hard

Was told this was a must visit while in Rhode Island. Arrived at 10:00 on a Monday and from the reviews, was expecting a bit more than 5 (non-Vegan) donuts. Maybe I was late; or, perhaps this is normal? The salted maple were absolutely delicious, but the chocolate cake was pretty dry and not too flavorful. Would have tried a vegan donut, but they were rather small and not deserving of the price. I also tried a Pesto Bomb, which looked like a mix between a popover and flaky croissant. Not only was that delicious, but so was the rustic/chunky pesto filling. While the salted maple donut and pesto bomb were delicious, no need to visit again.

I have been visiting Knead since they first opened their doors so I'm going to make this review short and sweet. My favorite doughnuts ever! (Vanilla and Brown Butter Pecan are my favorites) The End

Omg. The cake donuts are dense and chewy but still super cakey, the brioche is fluffy and the croissants are flaky. I went two days in a row it was that good. Will 10000% go again

SHOOKITH.... What happened knead? I was gobsmacked when we opened the box from the online order we placed.. it's like a scene from "honey I shrunk the kids...". The size?? Are you kidding? Your donuts are now small than, dare I say.. Dunkin'.. Beyond the shock of the size of the donuts, the quality of the flavor/taste.. The Pear fritter was missing any essence of pear.. I so wanted to have the seasonal experience that you have always delivered on.. but this fell flat.. You should immediately stop selling Apple Cider.. they are completely missing any flavor of apple and any spice whatsoever.. the texture and consistency was off putting.. it's like a commercial cake donut mixed was used and just some granulated sugar and cinnamon was scarcely added to the exterior.. I have been a loyal customer of yours for years.. even ordering donuts during the pandemic as our Saturday or Sunday morning escape.. Really, Really, Really disappointed..

What's happened? I used to love coming to Knead and this most recent experience was a little off putting. I did an online order, and picked them up. The issue was not in the service, because the cashiers were super nice and friendly, it was more in the quality. The size of the donuts have been reduced significantly, and the prices have remained the same. Also - the Apple Cider donut was spongy and didn't taste like much of anything. Very little flavor. The Spiced Pear Fritter was good, but again the size has been reduced dramatically compared to fritters I've purchased even as recent as a few months ago. There was also little Pear taste to be had. The Caramel Macchiato Old Fashion was the best of all, with flavor and taste and quality. Again, just tiny in size now. Finally, the Cinnamon Roll is small and was hard yet spongy at the same time. Not what I'm used to. Knead what happened!! You are better than this. I hope you can fix these issues. I've been coming for years now and this is just not the Knead I know.

Great donuts and staff, wish there was a bit more selection though!

Limited menu but excellent quality. Huge, delicious donuts. Staff friendliness is hit or miss. No one has been rude, some are just meh.

I saw Knead doughnuts on Phantom Gourmet, the doughnuts looked delicious so I decided to try them. Very polite staff, cleanly establishment. I got a half dozen for my husband and I to try. When I tell you the brown sugar pecan donut is absolutely delicious it's light and fluffy loaded with pecans. It's a little pricey hence the 4 stars I will definitely go back to try their other pastries.

Our family has enjoyed Knead donuts a few times before, but yesterday we were so disappointed. Ordered 6 donuts and all but one were stale - hard as a rock. The chocolate chip old fashioned was burnt on the bottom. Sadly, not worth the 30 minute drive or the $30.
