Poor customer service. No one smiled or greeted just frowning & arms crossed. Didn't feel welcome, wouldn't be spending my money here

Johnny & Albert + staff do such a great job running this place. Its an iconic spot and unique in its kind. Food is great and home-made, you can taste the passion.

Honestly pretty hectic in there. The waiter herself was very sweet however they accidentally charged us for a burger we didn’t order? I questioned the price to the cashier and she rushed us and said yes yes that’s price. Then I went and double checked the menu and the price was $15 over what we order. I went back up to the cashier and she did not apologize. Once the server said it was her fault she still did not apologize to us (the customers) and took no accountability. So rude. They will never receive my business again.

Definition of classic old school diner. Located in a residential area, safe, quiet, steps from Brown and a hike from RISD. Don't judge by the exterior facade. Come inside to this mom-n-pop greasy spoon lost in time that you'd expect to find in Brooklyn or South Philly. Interior is a museum of vintage b/w photographs, eclectic art, old license plates (should've brought my old plate from Seattle) and even a traditional Korean newlyweds doll set preserved in a glass case at the top center of the menu wall. Inside dining area is medium size but will fill up to capacity by 9:30 on a warm New England end of summer Sunday morning. Several tables outside. Family owned establishment frequented by locals, college coeds & tourists alike. Loius's was featured on Guy Fieri's Triple D on the Food Network. Food is made from scratch, handmade, good ole home cooking taste. Bagel & hand cut lox, buttery strawberry pancakes, omelette made to order were all delicious. Portions were generous and prices were not affected by Bidenflation. Where can you get a delicious omelette, potatoes & toast for $11? Service was courteous, accurate and prompt even during the rush. This place is a dying breed. Especially young people today shouldn't miss out on a classic taste of ??. Support your local small businesses & restaurants ? ?

Food and service were spot on. Everyone was so friendly. From the locals to the police. Been all over the country and this was the best (loaded) Bagel (lox, crm. chs, capers & red onion) I've had . Homemade I believe. My wife's breakfast was fantastic as well, and the strawberry pancakes were huge and incredible. Great food & large portions in a Mom n' Pop/family style, old school diner. Everything's homemade!
Just what we were looking for.
Simply perfect.
We'll definitely be back.

This is the real deal diner. Came here from out of state but will be back anytime we are nearby. The people are friendly, the food is good with huge portions and the prices are very reasonable. It's that place where the regulars are known by name and the first timers are treated like they're family. We even chatted with other locals while there. Highly recommend this true hidden treasure.
