We have been going to Nick's for a long time—before they moved to their present location and even during Covid. Never a disappointment, even better if that is possible. Food is great. Derek is a great chef.

Sat on the patio for quiet. Inside can get loud - but the music is always great. Food wonderful, service great. I've been coming to this restaurant since it opened down the street in a former diner. It has maintained amazing quality all these years. I'm leaving Providence for California - this is one place I will really miss. Thank you Derek and the entire team for so many happy memories and great meals.

My friends and I went for lunch. We all got the black sea bass. It was presented on top of a vegetable mixture, spinach based. It was excellent. Very fresh, cooked perfectly and the veggies underneath it were outstanding. Very gourmet! We will definitely be going back.

Nick's felt like a warm hug...cozy, quaint, and full of heart. My sister-friend Kerline told us it was like a second home for them, and I totally get it now! I'm a super picky eater with a cinnamon allergy (epi-pen ready!), but they nailed it. I had the Breakfast Plus with well-done bacon, and let me tell you, the biscuit and blood orange jam stole the show. Everything was fresh, local, and full of flavor, right down to my Granny Squibb's organic tea. Husbae devoured the rhubarb-strawberry pancakes, chicken sausage, and home fries. We also tried a yogurt parfait that was missing the granola based on how it was described beforehand, but it was so good, I didn't ask for it! I loved hearing the kitchen crew communicate. I even heard my allergy mentioned, which gave me so much peace of mind. Our server was an absolute gem: kind, efficient, and totally on point. Bonus: they knew my friend Kerline but had no clue that I was Yelp Elite there to review. 10/10 from walk-in to walk-out. Keep shining, Nick's!

We had a lovely dinner, celebrating the end of the school year. From the moment we arrive. The Service was exemplary. The staff and the chef went out of their way to celebrate us and appreciate our profession.  the ambience was perfect for a late dinner to unwind and reminisce. On the amazing year. We've had. I highly recommend this place. The food and service are always top notch.

We came to Providence for an anniversary trip and saw many people recommend Nick’s for dinner or brunch. We booked a reservation for the Chef Tasting Menu and we were not disappointed. They were very responsive and helpful via email. They were able to accommodate a pescatarian diet and the food was INCREDIBLE. Our dinner experience here was truly a highlight of our trip. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really made our dinner special. I’ve heard that you can leave some tasting dinners still hungry, but not here! By the end, we were stuffed, but every dish was so delicious we didn’t want to leave a bite on the plate. My favorite was the main, a mackerel dish that I will probably be craving forever. They even gave us a printed menu of what we had before we left to commemorate our dinner. Thank you to the whole staff so much for making this such a special meal!

Unpretentious and exquisite, showcasing the best that the RI restaurant scene offers. Attention to detail is apparent in the food and liquor menu. We started with a bruschetta special with goat cheese, caramelized scallions, rhubarb, and micro greens. The asparagus soup had just the right amount of cream and a drizzle of a lovely olive oil, both of which teased out the delicate flavors. The spinach and kale risotto with grilled chicken was so good. The steak special was a cut we had never heard of but was described knowledgeably by our wonderful server and was beautifully presented in kabob size pieces married with potatoes and an assortment of whimsical garnish. Service was very comfortable and flowed with various people clearing and serving food. We went on a weeknight and the place was full with a very comfortable kitchen vibe.
