Did not even make it to the food or coffee as they ran out of drip coffee. Seriously? They asked me if I wanted an Americano instead and I politely declined and walked out. This was after waiting ten minutes behind one customer as he and the employee were both clueless.

Came in quickly for a cup of coffee. It was delicious. Small space but there is definitely room to eat indoors and some tables outdoors. The bagels looked delicious but wasn’t able to try them! Will do next time I’m around!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The bagels are truly delicious, among the best I’ve ever had. However, the owner has a lot of rules that make coming here kind of a hassle. No toasted bagels, no decaf coffee/espresso, extra charge if you don’t bring your own cup, and most annoyingly — no online orders under $10. The service is great and the employees are doing their best, but when the shop is busy you can end up waiting quite a while for your order. This dissuades me from wanting to come here when I’m busy and short on time (as most people who work in Kendall Square typically are!) because I can’t place an online order for a simple bagel with cream cheese since it’s under $10, and I also can’t place an order in person if I have to wait around for 15-20+ minutes for it. The bagels are excellent but I just think some of their business policies need some work.

Just waited 30 min on line with only one order taker who also had to provide bagels to the kitchen for both phone orders and in person orders. Makes more sense to have a stock of bagels in the kitchen. Then waited another 30 minutes for 3 sandwiches. They were sold out of many varieties of bagels, also sold out of some cream cheese spreads and smoked bluefish with still 2 hours to go before closing. We got the whitefish which was mostly mayonnaise but the bagel was good. All in all, not worth the time. Would be better if they made more bagels (they sell day old bagels too so wouldn’t be a waste) and add another order taker.

Chronically understaffed and badly supplied. I’ve tried to go for lunch but they’re always out of everything by 11. Why even serve lunch if you’re not going to order enough supplies to get to noon? Too much twee decor, not enough selling things that are on the menu. I feel bad for the people who work here, who are obviously trying their best, but this place is not fully functional.

Cute place, good bagels, bad coffee
Great bagels but does take a while. Would recommend ordering ahead for pickup if you’re in a hurry

When bagel shops first open in Boston and Cambridge, they usually attract a lot of hype. Even mediocre spots like Brooklyn Bagel Factory had long lines when they first opened. However, during my past few visits to Rebelle, I didn’t see any lines. This Providence transplant hasn’t gained a good reputation among the locals, and the owner's unpopularity on social media and online forums seemed to be the biggest factor.
At Rebelle, owner Milena is strict about how to enjoy her bagels—R&D only, no toasting. She's quite adamant about preserving the air pockets in her freshly-baked bagels, which theoretically gives them a better texture and density. While I respect her dedication to bagel perfection, I have to admit, I prefer to enjoy them in sandwich form for convenience. Sometimes, you just need a bagel that’s more grab-and-go.
During my past few visits, I usually arrived around opening time, and there was always a limited selection of bagels—typically just 3-4 options, with flavors varying by the day. Some of my favorite sandwiches and combos included the pretzel bagel with Honey Fleur de Sel cream cheese, the Lox sandwich, and the BLT Squared sandwich. The bagels here are on the smaller side, but they still have a satisfying chewiness and density. However, because of their size, one sandwich usually isn’t enough to fill me up, which makes me question if it’s worth the price.
Really hoped that Rebelle would become my reliable go-to spot for bagel sandwiches in Cambridge. Their sandwiches are good, but perhaps not the best value. Might return to try their smoked fish sandwiches, but for now, I’ll likely look elsewhere to satisfy my bagel cravings.

The food is so good! I wish they had more locations! The bagels are fresh and the sandwiches are so flavorful. Every one of the treats (pop tarts, cookies, muffins) are delicious! Everyone who works there is so nice too!

Bagel itself decent but dill on everything is overpowering. Like crazy strong dill flavor...
Otherwise good coffee, vibes, and staff!

Stopped by for lunch and had a great meal. Blue fish melt was excellent — egg bagel was crispy on outside and fluffy inside, generous fillings on the sandwich, and well presented. Also ordered the fresh watermelon mint limeade — which was very refreshing — and couldn’t pass on the brown sugar pop tart on the display, also excellent. Milena and Gaby at the counter were both very welcoming and courteous. All in all, great addition to the Kendall area, and will visit again!

Visited this shop when they were in RI and loved them—-when I heard they were coming to the neighborhood I was ecstatic!! They have nailed the perfection of a chewy, but airy bagel and their cream cheese flavors are out of this world!!! Spicy Veggie is my fav. For bagels you can’t go wrong with an everything, pretzel or egg, but the real master piece is the jalepeno cheddar! Perfection. Iced coffee is delish, my one critique would be that they arnt open weekends right now, because I want the option of going to this place everyday!!!

Just an average bagel. And the owner was very rude to the employee behind the counter who was clearly training. She should not berate employees in front of customers!
