Came here for a dinner hosted by a vendor for work. Was able to try a bunch of different appetizers. Got the lobster roll, wished their had just a bit more lobster. The dessert tart was also delicious. Got the lychee martini and some strawberry drink that everyone was getting. Both drinks were good. Service was very good as there were prob 30 of us. Very attentive all night.

Had the best night celebrating my friends 43 rd birthday ! Miguel was an amazing server !!Food was delicious as always

Our fourth time at this place, it was the first time we sat on the second floor and the ambience was way different than downstairs, the noise level was way too uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is still one of my favor restaurants in Providence.

Wonderful experience at Res! Food was absolutely delicious, particularly the tuna poke bowl! So fresh and flavorful - hands down the best I've ever had. Ocean risotto and the Rangoon appetizer were also scrumptious. The drinks were expertly prepared and fairly priced for the size. Our server was professional yet very friendly, attentive but not hovering. An exceptional meal! I look forward to going to Res the next time I visit PVD.

We really loved it here. It's centrally located, beautiful interior, food and service were fantastic. Great mocktail options! We had the calamari, lamb and seafood risotto - all were absolutely excellent. This is such a great find in downtown. Thanks, Res team!

The menu was lovely and our servers were even lovelier. We were taken care of so well and received recs for the menu — great choices. The fried halloumi and the charcuterie board were delicious and we loved the Caesar and grilled wedge salads. Definitely heading back, soon.

BEWARE!!! My husband and I were very excited to try Res, with its high reviews and well thought out menu. We arrived for our Friday evening reservation to a mostly empty dining room, which we thought was odd for a spot so central to downtown. We were promptly greeted and seated, and put in drinks with our lovely waiter. We had picked out our courses and were awaiting the cocktails when I saw something run across the dining room floor out of the corner of my eye. Yes, a diners worst nightmare, vermin in the eating area. We quietly stood up to leave as the mouse circled our feet. As we showed the waiter the video we had captured of the animal, right next to people enjoying their entrees, he said, “we’re trying our best”, which bewildered me. For somewhere that is considered fine dining with 40-50 dollar entrees, it’s unfathomable that any excuse can be made for this. Never mind, the public health and safety crisis it incurs. Go dine literally anywhere else.

This place is always fantastic. Service is great and the food is absolutely fantastic. Never been less than absolutely blown away by every dish I've had. My only downside is the tables are way too close together. I get there early and they seat people spaced out, but by the time I leave they are really packed in. I wouldn't allow this to stop me from going again and again, but will keep going early.

The food was amazing, very busy that night atmosphere was really loud sometimes hard to hear our guests at our own table.

We were a party of 4 at Res for an 8 pm reservation on a Saturday night and after ordering drinks that took a very very long time to arrive we attempted to order dinner but were informed they were out of the filet mignon which was fine since they have sirloin on the menu also, but our server also told us that the restaurant was out of ALL vegetables except zucchini. My husband ordered the stuffed pork chop which is supposed to come with haricot verts (which he doesn't care for) but he decided to order the pork anyway since the restaurant would be subbing the zucchini instead. Despite all the missing menu items, we managed to figure our way around this strange situation and ordered our entrees. Our server returned to our table a while later to inform us that the restaurant was now out of chicken nuggets. One of us had ordered the burger which come with a side of nuggets, but we had also ordered an additional side of nuggets. I suggested to our server that since the burger comes with nuggets as part of the entree maybe the restaurant would throw in something to compensate for this? She said they could maybe give us some extra calamari which we appreciated. In place of the additional nuggets she suggested the restaurant could replace them with breaded fried chicken despite there being no breaded chicken anywhere on the menu. We appreciated the efforts the restaurant went to to help us cobble together a meal with all of the missing items but this was one of the strangest fine dining experiences any of us had ever had. A functioning fine dining restaurant simply cannot be taken by surprise like this at 8 pm on a Saturday and expect people not to notice! We will only go back for drinks in the future - it was embarrassing to take out of town friends here.

Unfortunately, the rack of lamb was very fatty and tough, but the papparadelle dish with chicken was good. The ambience is nice, but the noise level is way too high. The steak tartare and rangoons were very good. And the service by John was exceptional!

The Res is good venue especially with lighting features of Trinity Repertory Company in the backdrop. All staff were attentive, professional, friendly, and engaging from seating to throughout the meal. The service met the expectations of the food. The appetizers of Calamari and Crab Rangoon were crispy and fried lightly with great taste. After seeing pictures of the Seafood risotto I knew what I wanted and the risotto did not disappoint. Each bite was filled with copious bites of flavorful scallops, shrimp and crab meat. The portions are tastefully robust and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Miguel was an excellent server as well as those assisting him. Main meal arrived well over a hour after we arrived. Had no time for dessert. Miguel did make for an enjoyable evening and I will return.

This was our first time at Res and we will be going back when getting into Providence is not as difficult. The stress of the traffic due to the bridge work will make us scarce in Providence. The valet service they provide is a great touch. This is the only restaurant I know that serves Scottish egg, which was delicious. This restaurant is a keeper.
