One of best donuts I have had many years! We were there bright and early and passed through Providence on our way to MA. We were stunned to see it was a real bakery with higher standards (there are fewer around than one would think these days). The donuts were fresh out of the oven and we also had a cinnamon roll. Both were moist, delicious and fresh. Highly recommend especially early in morning!
We stopped by the bakery right before closing—didn’t realize the time, but we were hoping to grab a quick treat. The girl working was outside putting chairs away and completely ignored us standing inside. After waiting a bit, my aunt went out to ask if we could still order, and the response we got was, “It depends what time it is,” with a tone that made it pretty clear we weren’t welcome. The BEST Portuguese Bakery around! Family owned for decades. The paposecos are always fresh, da queijadas always have the perfect crunch, and of course ou queijo de São Jorge is always a hit! The owners and staff are absolutely AMAZING! Always a 10/10 ⭐️
