“My Favorite Stop after exiting the Bus at Kennedy Plaza on my way to Trader Joe's. The Chai w/Cream & Sugar was Excellent ! I will usually opt for an Iced or Hot Mocha or Caramel Cappuccino or Frapuccino or Latte & All are Delicious !“
“Super packed the day that I went, but somehow it was the calmest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. This location seems perfectly staffed, and I love that the baristas don’t yell out names while people are studying. The warm moody lighting makes it a perfect addition to campus. Cutest Starbucks I’ve ever been to.Also!! Every time I see the lavender matcha it’s always gray and ugly and the cold foam ends up as a really thin layer. But at this location it was vibrant and had the perfect consistency! I love when baristas love to make drinks and do their best to make it work. With this particular drink it’s not realistic to expect this outcome every time, but I really appreciate the innovative approach that went into making the presentation as good as possible ?“
“What an incredible unbelievable experience after a tough night with my two year old, I was ready for a cup of coffee in the morning, so I got into my car and I looking for a place completely oblivious that I wasn’t carrying my wallet and Harborside Café me a huge favor give me a coffee give me warm And lots of cheer and smile. What a wonderful experience God bless the whole team at Harborside.“
“Every barista here is super sweet and very capable, especially given that they are dealing with the constant rush of Brown students, tourists on Thayer, and folks getting off at the bus stop right outside. You can usually find a table of some type of you want to sit and there's usually not too much of a wait. Best vegan option is probably soy milk since, as with most Starbucks, they are always out of Oat Milk (no hate to them! Just a warning to my vegan peeps). A great place to hang out for a while, people watch, and take in the scene on the hill. Mobile order is always quick here, too, and the chalkboard art is usually iconic.“
“So made an early stop at Starbucks near Brown University this morning... I think it was CJ, who opened the door where I was their first customer.... The locale has been renovated to better serve it's change in customer traffic, with a massive increase coming from online and app driven orders... A little different seating arrangement from the past, but still the same atmosphere and staff interaction. Nice Job.“
“I go here often and rarely have any issues, although it’s much pricier than other Starbucks for the same exact beverage. The Starbucks at university heights is $6.97 and this store is $7.76 for the exact same drink with oat milk. 3 Other Starbucks I’ve checked in the area the price is at $7.17 . I also find the tables frequently dirty, my guess is the staff is so busy making drinks and so many people use the tables that they overlook cleaning them. I’ve asked them to clean my table several times and they always come do it but they could do a much better job. Also the rug under the table and glass window and ledges are often dirty. I would suggest investing in one of those little carpet sweepers. It might be time to invest in some new tables and chairs as well. I think those have been there since the place opened some 24 years ago. Get some more cushioned seats and maybe 1 or 2 tables that seat more than 2 people. People are constantly grabbing chairs from other tables because they are with more than two people. You could also put one or two cushioned seats with a little end table. Time to upgrade especially with those higher prices.“
“We get coffee here every time we stay near Wayland Square.\n\nWhy.? Either that or buy our relative a coffeemaker and coffee.\n\nThere is lovely outdoor seating in season. Otherwise, there are comfy armchairs by the fireplace inside. So A+.\n\nYou know the menu so I need not go into that.\n\nThere is a terrific bookstore and a CVS right across the street. We walk but I suspect parking easy.“
