Very long wait for food at 5:30 on a Sunday , food came out all at once ( appetizers with meal and bread course); long wait for water refills , luke warm coffee , multiple asks for sugar and cream. Over crowding on table with the way food was presented. All but one dish ( white bean and rabe appetizer) was too salty, too greasy, too plain. The two desserts were not fresh - crème brûlée appeared to be stored in fridge and served from there as opposed to freshly torched top. I’ve eaten here many times in the past , it’s taken a sharp turn for the worse. Even the chairs were too low for the tables - it was like being a kid sitting at the adults table

We stopped by for dinner and what a pleasure The atmosphere is beautiful, our server Madison offered excellent suggestions from wine, to app, to the perfect martine. The food was delicious and just a short walk to the PPAC. After our show we actually went back to enjoy a nite cap and were fortunate to grab seats at the bar. Tayler is a wonderful bartender! We were so impressed by the mgr Shawn, who is very hands on and very fun to chat with. This restaurant is perfection and the excellent staff enhance the food and architecture.

We've been to the George several times, but this week was really disappointing. Although two in our party enjoyed their meals, two of us were not impressed. My veal was tough (chewy) and my friend's chicken was over cooked and extremely dry. On the surface the Monday night deal sounds great, but when a restaurant charges $12 for a basket of toasted (because it was not fresh) focaccia, that is not a value. We won't go back...
Had a great time!

Fantastic cocktails, good food and excellent service. Close to the PPAC and Amica Pavilion
We had a great dinner this evening. Drinks, apps, dinner and dessert were all fantastic. Dan is a great server, super friendly and attentive. There was live music in the lounge area and the owner played piano between sets. Lovely experience, we’ll definitely be back!

We booked online having never been before. Exceeded expectations! Food was delicious and good portions. (Swordfish and Tenderloin) Ambiance was very nice with a nod toward upscale. Our server Madison was exceptional. Will definitely return...would like to try the comedy nights in the old speakeasy downstairs!
We were staying near by and dropped in for a quick meal after a day of travel. Split a bottle of wine and three of the most delicious appetizers ever! Our waiter was fun and the chef did a great job!
Great vibe at the bar for pre dinner drinks. Food was amazing and service was outstanding! One of our favorite places to dine in the city.
All of the staff at the George are amazing! I had my wedding reception here, as well as my afterparty in the downstairs speakeasy. The food was delicious, they set up my dinner guest tables exactly as I had wanted them to, right down to the napkin folds, guestbook table and bar menus. My husband and I have gone to the George for dinner on many separate occasions and almost all of the staff that worked our wedding remembered us, offered us well wishes and told us how happy they were to be a part of our day. I was able to put my full faith in Katelyn the event manager, and get to just enjoy my evening as a bride instead of worrying about minuscule details. I will always recommend the george!!!

Absolutely Amazing! Staff and patrons equally welcoming. Shout out to Taylor at the bar. She made the night unforgettable!
Food was excellent service was outstanding. Staff was super inviting and attentive. Noise level a little loud. But didn't take too much away from the experience.
Excellent experience! Went with my daughter before a play and The George was Amazing! They even had a drink menu that was themed after the play my daughter and I were going to see (kudos for also being able to accommodate those drinks as mocktails which my daughter really enjoyed). The service was top notch and very fast (our waiter was Miguel and he was amazing), and everything was delicious. During our visit the hostess and one of the owners checked in with us, a very nice and welcoming touch. The food was delicious, hot and quick to the table. A 10 out of 10 experience and we will definitely be back soon!
Fantastic food, great atmosphere , lovely piano playing, and fantastic dinner price specials !
My partner and I were on our honeymoon and looking for a nice dinner for our last night in Providence, RI. We were told that there was a wait for a table or we could sit at the bar. We didn't mind bar seating and headed over, sitting down and waiting to be served. The couple next to us didn't need their menus and the bartender took them. We called out to the bartender that we need them but he didn't even look our way. When we asked again thinking he didn't hear us, he didn't look up or over. Apparently he didn't want us at the bar. My partner and I left and spent our money at a better restaurant further down Washington St.
