Very dark on the inside of this bar / restaurant. Food overpriced considering hot appetizers came out cold. Bolognese sauce watery. Cocktails were fairly priced and relevant to bars theme

Overall I was disappointed- I found the food overcooked - I found the server to be a little rushed - but pleasant - there were 4 of us and no one had a meal that was exceptional - for the money $$$ that was charged- this should be 5 stars - but it wasn’t - the music was a little loud but that could be my age

Food was not good. Both of our appetizers came out ice cold (which we gave the benefit of the doubt that we were catching up for a bit). But then my veal was rubbery and lukewarm. The waitress was really sweet. I still left a good tip since she was busting her butt regardless of the food quality (which is why it didn't get 1 star)

I messed up my reservation and arrived on the wrong night, but they were super nice about it and super accommodating. Got us a table even though they were very crowded on a Saturday night. We then went on for what I call my three G's . Great food, Great service and Great atmosphere! Perfect.Eddy our server was fantastic and whoever made our drinks knows their stuff. Delicious! Everything was fabulous!

Everything was just right. Eddy, our server couldn’t be any better. Knowledgeable, personable, and great to talk to. Veal chop special and the bolognese hit the spot. The burrata app special hit all the flavors on all levels.

I visited The George on 2/17/24 with a group of friends. Our waiter was nice; the food was decent - compared to other restaurants in Providence it's nothing special; however, the overall service was absolutely horrendous and for that, I will never return nor will I recommend anyone to go here.I'm not one to write a negative review but when my sister-in-law personally had a conversation with a manager that same night, was promised a refund, then called after the refund should've appeared on her card, spoke to another manager and yet here we are, almost a month later and still NEVER refunded. Empty promises. There were 11 of us in our party, all of which had appetizers, entree's and alcoholic beverages ($$$$). When we were winding down, the waiter quickly asked about dessert or dessert drinks and seemed to be rushing us away from the table so they could set up for another party. He told us we could go downstairs to the speakeasy to finish our beverages - we get down there & they told us they were starting a comedy show within a half hour so the guy at the door asked us to exit prior to then and we agreed. We were all smooshed in 1 corner, as another (waiter?/manager?) told us that we really shouldn't be down there because of the show and offered to see if there was room upstairs in the bar - he came back down and advised us there was room up there. So we all venture back upstairs to the bar where there was NO room for us yet again. All hovering over a table for 2, which said reserved yet was empty at the time - a little more comfortable than downstairs yet a waitress comes over to us and asks us to move as 'that table is reserved'.As soon as we paid and left our table, everything went south - we were moved around like cattle and nobody seemed to be appreciative for choosing their restaurant to dine at. Well, except the Manager my SIL spoke to - he said he would look at our bill and refund at least our 11 'dessert' drinks as we didn't get a chance to finish, and possibly more, for our aggravation. Even after a follow-up from her, the promised refund never was sent back to her card. Poor poor customer service.

I am currently visiting for a conference. Server and bartender were nice, but struggling with the 15 people in the bar area. I ordered the pork chop based on the bartender's recommendation. The guy at the bar next to me ordered the same thing, but 15 minutes after me. When my plate came out, the bartender gave the plate to the guy next to me instead. I decided not to say anything because it wasn't a big deal. However, when they realized what they did, the bartenders made it extremely awkward for all parties by telling the other guy what they did but never said anything to me. I kept overhearing "you're eating that guy's dinner" and "that was supposed to be his". I was very uncomfortable so I asked for a box and left to eat my dinner in my hotel room. When I got to my hotel and began to finish my meal, I noticed the center was still raw. I understand that it is bone in, but this was the center of the chop. The food and the atmosphere were definitely not worth the price.

I had a 7 o'clock reservation and was not seated until 730. Other patrons were also waiting up to 45 minutes for a table. We had to sit in the bar area which was full of people and standing room only. Not a quiet place to have to eat in that area. Quite disappointing!! Food and drink was very good and so was our server. Will think twice about returning.

Ask for coffee got an Americana Expresso. Get Keurig please. It was warm and took too long.

Went there to see friends ("The Breeze") play acoustic in the lounge. Great ambiance and an overall amazing relaxing vibe. I hear some nights can get very "sing-a-long-y". The Calamari app was different and absolutely incredible. Lightly fried and not too much sauce. The regular menu items seemed pretty typical. Not too much extra "flair" to make it unique. Perfect if you enjoy that sort of thing, but if you are looking for something more creative the come down, take a chance and ask about the specials. Seemed like a lot of mashed potatoes. Service was great - attentive without being intrusive. Crowd was light, and we knew the band so we probably overstayed our welcome ...

I want to warn people if the hostess asks if you want to sit in the Speakeasy be aware that it's downstairs and the cocktail menu is different and you can't get drinks off the menu for The George. We had made reservations for The George and the hostess recommended sitting in the Speakeasy instead and said she thought it was better. We were most looking forward to trying the specialty cocktails and weren't made aware that we couldn't get them until we were already sitting down and the waitress came over and gave us a drink menu. Also, the ambience is nicer upstairs. It was definitely disappointing as we have young kids and don't get out often. We kinda felt duped, like they were just trying to open up another table upstairs. I will say though, the food was great. Our group of 4 ordered all apps and they were delicious (crab cakes, Thai chili calamari, roasted cauliflower, stuffed mushrooms, and a charcuterie board).
