I will never go back. Terrible. The food was cold and overcooked and dry. Also overpriced. Poor quality food. Very slow service. Took a very long time to pay. Had to ask for bill twice. Worst chicken parm I've had in a long time. When we finally paid we also were handed another guests signed bill ! Had tickets for a show and needed to eat or would have refused the food. Stay away!
We wanted something quick and easy, so we both had the Smash Burger with fries. The burger was very good, with gooey melted cheese, lettuce and tomato. The fries were excellent. They were very hot, and had a spice blend of some kind. They have a decent beer and wine selection, and the specialty cocktails looked good.
The service was absolutely horrible. We were sitting at the bar and the bartender basically ignored us. we had to ask for menus, we had to ask if we could order a drink. The bartenders were just not observant and not friendly. they seemed overwhelmed and there were only about 6-7 people at the bar. The food was terrible. The pizza was barely cooked. Terrible. It is expensive to eat out now a days do not waste your hard earned money at The VIG. You can get a better meal at McDonalds.
Joe is the best bartender in the city.

We had reservations before a show. Was seated but sat and waited for someone to come to the table for quite some time. Our waiter was clearly overwhelmed and they did not have enough staff. He tried his best. Our food was disgusting! The bacon on my sandwich was raw and cold, the turkey was slimy and the wrap was stale. It was apparent it was made earlier and sitting in a fridge. Waiter never asked us how everything was. Would never come here again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Made a reservation for 5:30 it’s 6:30 no food. Terrible place would never come here again
Got there for our reservation on time and was told by some other couple waiting at 5:45 that they were still waiting for their 5pm reservation. No staff to be found for 10 mins so we left.
Better staffing needed for big events held in Providence. This past Saturday truly turned us off of the restaurant and I would not recommend for anything other than maybe a casual bite on a non-busy night.
server was great but it did take around 20 minutes for someone to come to us. food took a bit to come out and prices are a little unproportional to the quality of food. but was still yummy
We were traveling with a large group from out of town. When we arrived for our reservation, we found out that one of our tables had been taken by another party. Our group, which included 7 adolescents, needed to be split into separate tables that were not next to each other. The wait staff was not equipped to handle our group, even though they knew we were coming, as the reservation had been made over a week in advance. The bartender served the adults (to help us out, he told us) and finally another waiter came to assist with the adolescents. He was not knowledgeable about the menu and was flustered with our group the entire time. At the beginning of service we informed him that we would need separate checks for our different parties, which was acknowledged. When the bill came, we reminded him of that. He left and came back saying he couldn't do it, and handed us a servers pad and a copy of the bill and made us separate our orders out, telling us to figure out the pricing including tax and tip. I was shocked, but just wanted to pay the bill. When I asked what the tax rate was (we are from a different state) so we could figure it out for him, he told me he didn't know, and then got defensive when I smiled, asking if I was making fun of him (anyone who serves food and charges money should know what they are charging their patron, not to mention he lived in this state). As we were dividing our checks out, we noticed items that were charged multiple times- we informed the waiter, who told us it couldn't be removed from the check since one person had already paid for her item. The bartender and another member of our party then had words, which followed with the bartender speaking to other patrons (regulars we assume) and mocking our party. We dined at this restaurant as we are Hilton members and we were staying at the hotel, but can not recommend a restaurant that does not know how to accommodate large parties or deal with the public.

I made reservations for 9:15 on a Tuesday. According to the restaurants website, Google and Open Table, they serve breakfast from 6:30-10:00 however, the restaurant was closed when we arrived for my birthday breakfast. It might’ve been less disappointing if I hadn’t paid $15
Just to park to eat here. The experience was disappointing to say the least.
Not as advertised on Open Table and online. Instead of the breakfast menu it was a hotel breakfast buffet for $26 per person. Dishes of scrambled eggs and bacon in chafing dishes. Stale pastries and make your own waffles were available, but none of the things we saw on the menu like chicken and waffles. The actual restaurant for cooked to order food was not open until later, but that wasn't advertised when I made a reservation at 8:30. We sat and after picking at a few things that were sub standard quality, we paid our check and took the loss. There are just too many great Italian bakeries in Providence to waste your time on a cookie cutter hotel breakfast buffet.
Great bar! The bar staff here is very friendly and all of the are hard workers. The liquor choices are wide and varied. Probably a dozen or so flavored vodkas. An average selection of draught beer. A slightly larger selection of bottles and cans. Had their BLT one evening. It had super thick bacon, ample slices of tomatoes and leaf lettuce.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Vig in Providence, and it was an outstanding experience! The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening out. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly our server, Ty. Ty was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. The food was delicious, with a great variety of dishes that were beautifully presented. I highly recommend The Vig for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Providence. Kudos to Ty for making our evening memorable!
