Vegan options at an African restaurant are not common and The Village absolutely does an amazing job. The vegan spinach stew is a must get along with the jollof rice.

Great food, great service! I had lunch at the Village PVD 6/17/25. Lots of vegan options. The fufu (pounded yam) is really filling. My first time trying Nigerian food and looking forward to my next meal here. :)

Came to the village after seeing it here on Happy Cow because I’m a sucker for a good fufu! It did not disappoint. I asked the person behind the counter which of the vegan options they recommended and ended up going with the spinach stew. Great flavor with a good level of spice. Door was hard to find, you have to go into the citizen’s bank to get in!
God, the food, the drinks, prices and portions. All divine, eat up yall

The Village PVD restaurant was situated in between businesses and near hotels. ...Not many restaurants in this area for visitors. While walking, I decided to explore Nigerian food for the first time. I Chose Jollof rice with plantains because was a vegan choice.Although the plantains were soggy and stale, the rice was mildly spicy, and I would have appreciated it more if they had been fresh. Given the time they just open, I should not wait to heat up rice. My other option was to try the fish, but it look like it's been sitting in the sauce for a while and also had a lot of bone. The decor was warm and inviting.

Great food, good $10 lunch deals. We went as a group of college students needing a good, cheap lunch, and the manager/owner took time to seat us personally and walked us through their menu. Great service and food, def a good spot to get some Nigerian food in Providence!

The Village is amazing!! I had an incredible experience ordering catering from here for an afterschool youth program. The person who helped me was so attentive, kind, patient, and flexible and made the process very easy. The youth loved the food so much and had great feedback. I wasn’t able to eat the catering so I returned recently
and was blown away by how good the food is! I got the Vegan efo with dodo and veggie jollof and they were both some of the best food I’ve had. Great nonalcoholic drink options too!!
