I lived in Providence for ~20 years and this was my regular spot for delicious food, great drinks, and awesome staff. It’s one of the places I truly miss after my move. Whenever I come back to town I always find my way back to Flats for lunch or dinner. I have a few menu faves that I crave in between visits, and have a hard time deciding between each time I get there: pasta fiesta, conquistador, amarillo quesadilla, and the habanero mac & cheese. Combined with a red sangria? Chef’s kiss!

Every menu item I have tried is delicious. The staff is super friendly and inviting. I try to make it a point to visit every time we are in PVD.

I've always had a lot of fun going here. And the new ownership testifies to that. Great atmosphere, the greatest crowd, hostess, servers, Cooks etc. awesome bartenders. They also installed new TVs which is a big bonus because now I can watch my games!

Side note I lost my wallet back in November there it happened to get returned to Ryan later in the night and all my money was still in there! Speaks volumes

Every time I come here I leave happy. Servers are always friendly and attentive. Food is always amazing. Bartenders here seem to have a heavy pour which is always nice

The flavors were great but the pulled chicken was dry and chewy. Not well integrated intro the other ingredients.

Cornbread was delicious but 2/3 pieces were burnt on the outside.

I've been here twice now to get a more accurate review, first time I orded the mole and found it to be lacking in flavor, I understand how difficult mole can be as a dish so I decided to give the place another chance on account of the wonderful waitstaff. 2nd time I had the burrito with steak and again found it to not be flavorful. Waitstaff was wonderful and the margarita was strong which boosts the score some. Overall prices are steep for the quality of the food 3/5

Good service but disappointing food. Everything was bland which was disappointing given the good reputation. Highlight was the chips and salsa

Came here with a friend for a late night snack. Ordered chips & salsa, which were okay - salsa tasted bland to me, lemonade tasted watered down, nachos were pretty good and made suitable for a vegan. My friend ordered something with rice and that rice was the absolute best I've ever had in my life! Service was great, very attentive and nice staff. Food came out hot and quickly, plated very nicely. Large portions! Music was amazing, atmosphere was cozy, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Prices were just ok.

I have been coming to this place for years! It is by far the by far the best place for Mexican food and the margaritas are out of this world no mixer nonsense! I bring all out of state friends here and when they come back it's a must go! Came here day before knee replacement. Then returned 3wks post op. Last place, then first place needed my birthday margaritas!!

Tortilla Flats seems to have been around forever and RI Food Fights 'Taco Mania' finally brought us in. There was a 'Taco Tuesday' special so we order a few extra. The tacos were okay, but nothing special. The service was good, but felt sort of rushed. And the atmosphere was more like a local watering hole than a restaurant. We really wanted to love this place, but all in all, it was just okay.

menu was odd - like trying too hard to be an “alt” Mexican cuisine - I defaulted to what I thought was a safe bet: a bowl of chili and a cheese quesadilla. The chili was like they emptied a jar of
straight orange queso dip into a tortilla bowl. Nachos list 2 options: dozen or half dozen. I was mightily confused when they came out like a normal pile o nachos

Food was great! Big portions, amazing rice, salsa. They have a huge selection of tequilas for all pallets. Definitely would come back again.
