We’re visiting from out of town and just happened to choose this place to eat the day before they shut down for 2 months for an ownership transition. The staff and customers very clear love this place and how it brings everyone together. Let’s just say there were tears. Our waitress was so great, she gave me two trinity brewhouse pint glasses which I will use frequently. Food was also very good. Chicken and waffles were delicious, my wife loved her beet pizza. I look forward to being back in providence some time and seeing how it is under the new ownership.

The food is great, the beer is excellent. Bar staff are impressively fake-nice. It takes skill to be that fake. Just be mean to everyone and be honest, or dont work there. One bartender in the downstairs couldn't even make a rum and coke. It was pathetic. I get the vibe from the folks who works here that its one big club and they're totally protected by their employer, which is fantastic......Unfortunately that doesn't mean you have to be so fraudulent to people.

The mug club has been a fun experience. But after 4 years, im probably not going to renew. Half the time the downstairs is closed or booked for a private party and the Christmas party is always on a Thursday and over by 9 or 10.

Its very much catered to the service industry crowd.

Lots of pros, lots of cons.

Hopefully the new owners are able to renovate the bar staff along with the decor. I wish them the best.

I originally only came in for a much needed refreshment, but the hostess made me feel so welcomed with her warm smile that I decided to stay for dinner.

The wings were good. However, burger was just flavorless, I had to put salt on a cheese burger. The service was OK but not great.

the food is pretty normal bar food, but it’s very walkable and near everything downtown which is nice

Not the best. Not the worst. The tables outside are nice. The food and service. Average. Got a burger. It’s fine. I inquired about if the tacos are only sold Tuesdays. They are…. so safe to assume they probably aren’t the best. Fries were below average tasting.

Great local spot with great menu and draft selections! Super accommodating with allergies, with fast and friendly service. Would highly recommend and visit again!

My favorite place in all of Providence. The beer is always excellent and the food is amazing. This is a no brainier if you like craft beer or brewpubs. It's not on the menu anymore but ask for the carnivore pizza, it's the best thing you'll eat.

Really great beer selection

I am brown skinned. I got crap fries, basically reheated overdone, brown fries. I should have sent them back but I was too embarrassed. I hate sending food back, but I did tell the waitress about it who didn’t apologize for the bad quality of the fries. The entree was just ok. To the owner, don’t offer me a free meal because I live in Texas unless you plan to pay for my ticket to and from Rhode Island.
By the way, I only came to Rhode Island to bury my son’s ashes. So, this place was a bad choice for my only meal.
Don’t know if I got tasteless old fries because of my race.

Visited during a convention at the RI Convention Center which is a couple blocks over. They seated our group of 14 easily and we all had a great lunch. Great service and solid food and drink.

The original brewpub in town, bit of a dive bar feel. Cool artwork on walls, brew kit behind bar. Beers are solid.

In the city for a convention. They accommodated our party of 19 no issues. Very pleasant, great food and service.

Their beers are dull at best and their food are overpriced and as dull as their beers. I've had better beers and food at a gas station in the middle of nowhere in Maine.
