My husband can’t stop talking about the Beef Cheek BOURGUIGNON he had at your restaurant last night. Best meal he ever ordered at a restaurant. 53 years old, that is saying a lot. The Cafe is our new favorite restaurant in the area.
The downtown Westerly food scene has truly become a destination, and this place is a home run. I only wish they had more entree sized plates to choose from, but everything I've ever tried is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a very friendly staff.
Dietary restrictions: I have a nut allergy and felt very comfortable that the staff was watching out for me.

We went here for brunch with friends and truly loved it! The service was excellent - attentive staff, but we never felt rushed throughout our dining experience. Highly recommend the brioche French toast and the coconut cream pie dessert!

We love to sit at the bar and have a drink and food. Service is very attentive and the food is excellent. I particularly enjoy the charred Caesar salad, it’s a delicious mix of flavors! We are looking forward to our next meal at the Cafe! We wish you were open on Monday nights !

We have been to this restaurant a few times. Unfortunately, the experience is not what it use to be. The food was average at best and the dinner was actually cool to the touch when served (Scallops and Risotto - not so good cold). Also, we had what was supposed to be vinegar cake which ended up being a slice of regular chocolate (extremely dry) cake. I will say our bartender/ server was awesome. I told him after about the cold dinner and the dry cake and let him know we were not looking for a refund or discount - we just wanted to make him aware of our less than perfect experience. He was very apologetic and provided us with a couple of tokens for a free drink. I then saw him talk to the whom I believe was the manager to let him know about our experience. Here is the kicker. The manager looked over at us, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Never came over to apologize or provide us with the reassurance that it would not happen again. You could see he could have cared less. So next time we go to the area to have a $ 300.00+ dinner/ night out - The Cafe will not be the place we will be spending our time/ money. I realize everyone has a bad night and things can go bad quickly in a restaurant setting - however when the management doesn't care, why would the employees working for him care. Extremely bad example for sure. Owner may want to take note. It is all about the service and experience. My suggestion - find another manager.

Overall this place is fine but I'm not in a hurry to go back. Can't exactly say why: the food was fine but not perfect. I got the café burger which was tasty, but the bourbon-bacon jam that came smothered over it kind of ruined the experience. The bottom bun became saturated with it, so every time you'd pick it up your hands are covered in sauce. The accompanying fries were nothing better than you'd get at a million other places. My wife enjoyed the steak, but said it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Two drinks and two dinners equated to around $120.
Hits: we were seated right away on a Saturday night, attentive staff, decent atmosphere, tastefully decorated and the espresso martini was far better than some other local restaurants.
Misses: comes close to a 5-star restaurant in my book but does little to set itself apart from other area restaurants, which is what a 5-star place should be.

What a great meal. Had no idea that Westerly had such a quality restaurant as the Cafe. Bartenders, waiters, sommelier and chef were so accommodating. Food was really top notch. We will be back.

This is our second time at The Cafe and both times we have found it to be exceptional (and we are complete food snobs who find it hard to enjoy most dining experiences because of it)! The appetizers & entrees were pleasingly plated and all very delicious & unique, the cocktails were fabulous, and the desserts were magnificent, possibly the best we've had anywhere! We recommend The Cafe without hesitation!!!
To be honest, I don't eat at a place like this on any occasion that isn't special, because I am frugal and don't care about fine dining.
But my boyfriend's parents who had never visited town insisted on taking us out and it was so damn good. We liked everything. A lot. We will definitely be back and the occasion does not even need to be so special.

Macie great server. Husband had meatloaf definitely not Grandma's. I had smoked beet salad delicious and cacio e pepe very good. But chocolate vinegar cake was the best.
