Like a shadow gliding from the kitchen, the manager appeared. Calm. Confident. Apron blowing in the breeze like a battle flag. He didn’t speak. He just walked—slow motion—toward the noise. The guy kept mouthing off. And then? Boom. The manager lifted this man with the grace of a ballet dancer and the fury of Poseidon, and body-slammed him onto the hood of a 2008 Dodge Charger. Sparks flew. A flock of pigeons scattered. A child in the corner dropped his hush puppy in awe. Someone whispered, “Is that… legal?” No one answered. We were too busy watching greatness. I went inside. Ordered the fried catfish platter with a side of mac & cheese. It tasted like it had been blessed by angels and lightly uppercutted by Zeus. The sweet tea? Strong enough“
