I loved going to the local ice cream or frozen custard stand with my family when I was a kid... and Vampire Penguin is a reminder of it. There's outdoor seating (umbrella tables) and indoor as well. A very small strip mall near Lowe's and Target. Staff is friendly and helpful-- though not chatty. VP caters to families, even though the prices are a bit higher than at a crushed ice stand. literally the best ice cream place around, really good toppings and service, and the ice cream isn’t too sweet or dense so it won’t fill you up. only thing is it’s somewhat pricey, but with everything you get I’d say that it is very reasonable

One of the best dessert places in Anderson! The shaved “snow” in my opinion is much better than shaved ice. It’s light, fluffy, the flavors are blended in it, less calories, and I don’t even get tooth sensitivity or brain freeze. I enjoy coming to this location. The staff is super friendly and there are tons of options to choose from. Highly recommend, especially in the summer!
