I’m not a picky eater, but I am a particular eater, and Pho 88 absolutely nailed it. I ordered the House 1 (H1) with egg rolls, and everything was spectacular.
The egg rolls were crispy and delicious, but the H1 was the star. The broth had this incredible savory flavor with almost a citrus brightness to it, especially with the fresh lime and basil. The meat was excellent, and I loved that the bowl wasn’t cluttered with a bunch of ingredients I didn’t want. It was just a great broth, noodles, meat, onions and herbs, with a huge plate of fresh bean sprouts, shredded cabbage, basil, lime and jalapeños on the side so you could build it exactly how you wanted.
Fresh, flavorful, filling, and genuinely one of the better meals I’ve had around Anderson. Easy 5 stars. We’ll absolutely be back.“
