“This afternoon I met Captain Cliff and his wife at Cliff’s seafood in Bamberg. Cliffs is one of those restaurants that you find sometimes in a small town, whose quality of food and service is much higher than you would expect in a small town. I just happen to find it by accident and I’m very glad that I did. I tried to get a little bit of as many things as I could on my first visit. I had butterflied fried shrimp, scallops, clam, and hush puppies, with a side, order of sausage and an ear of corn. Each of the servings was a good size so I had plenty to take home for leftovers. The scallops and the hush puppies were both way above average, the shrimp breading was very tasty, and everything was cooked just right. The corn is served in seasoned butter, which is very very tasty. I highly recommend everything that I had. Captain Cliff and his wife both had time to come out and speak with me, that was very nice. I came in the middle of the afternoon, so I guess they had a little time to visit. very nice! I look forward to going back and trying the crabcakes and the ribs. Their menu was very extensive, they had things there that you would not find at every seafood restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stop in there the next chance you get.! bon appétit!“
