The service and food was quick and very tasty and fresh. The salsa was a little bland prior to eating. Service was great. It was chilly in the restaurant. Margaritas were ok.

By far one of the most authentic mexican flavors I’ve tried out of Mexico.
The tostada Nayarita it’s amazing, definitely my favorite appetizer every time I eat here.
The carne asada with shrimps was delicious. It’s amazing how a good seasoning and grilling time can do. Great flavor, like eating asada in Mexico.
Fully recommend this place the service it’s great and the ceiling decorations are mind blowing.

The food is delicious but apparently when ordering a dish with shrimp you will only receive 2 pieces of shrimp for that dish. I ordered the Texas rice that comes with Shrimp, chicken, and steak. I don’t eat steak so I asked for more chicken and shrimp and was only given 2 shrimps for this dish🤷🏾♀️ I was told that 2 shrimps are their standard procedure and I’d still have to pay full price for a meal with no steak, 2 shrimps, and chicken.

Beware of hidden charges. We shared nachos are were charged extra $5 for a share plate (an empty small plate) Waiter didn’t mention the sharing charge nor did we see on the menu. The nachos were on the appetizer menu and weren’t an entree. We asked for some extra salsa. Were charged extra $4 for this-again didn’t see that mentioned on the menu nor did waiter say anything. In sum Added $9 to our $14 nachos. Glad I checked the bill because didn’t understand why it was almost $24. Won’t return.

It was a great experience and amazing food at El Nuevo. If you are in the Bluffton area and looking for great Mexican food, this is it.
