I just went to Jade Garden for the first time in years. People say food is cold and crusty. That’s just plain wrong. Every tray on every steam table was steaming. The food was fresh. I don’t care much about the traditional Chinese fare. Steamed flounder, cheesy crab, mussels, shrimp and sushi were excellent. And the table attendant was great. Some people just like to complain.

Twice in two months we went. Both times, no water was refilled. We were not checked on at all the second time and the first time we weren’t until we asked. Most food was cold and two of the employees were arguing the second time. I will never go back to Chinese buffet restaurants. Walterboro and Beaufort seem to be the same way. Our waitress could not speak English. Then she spelt dirty water from her wet gloves all over our food. Just not okay with that at all will not ever go back. Then when we called to ask the price and told us 47 and then end up 63.
This was your basic buffet. Not a wide selection of items and the freshness of several items was questionable. I did notice a few flies while seated.

This is probably the worst buffet I've ever been to. The food was lukewarm at best. There was a very small selection of sushi, but none from the photos on the website. The seaseme chicken was mushy. The server never refilled our drinks. We arrived before 4pm and were charged the dinner menu price.
