I just went to Jade Garden for the first time in years. People say food is cold and crusty. That’s just plain wrong. Every tray on every steam table was steaming. The food was fresh. I don’t care much about the traditional Chinese fare. Steamed flounder, cheesy crab, mussels, shrimp and sushi were excellent. And the table attendant was great.
Some people just like to complain.

The food is excellent. The service for a buffet is moderate. You don't have to walk around looking for someone to refill your drink, though normally you must flag them down and ask them. They rarely volunteer or notice empty glasses. The atmosphere is Chinese-American.

I have visited the HHI area for over 25 years, and lived here the last 3 years; I never knew this place existed. I was honestly amazed especially for a buffet. It was hands down one of the best buffets of any kind I've ever been too, and definitely the best Chinese / Japanese one. What makes how good it was even more surprising was we were there at a non-busy time. Everything everyone of us tried (and there were 9 of us) was good to absolutely amazing.
