Ma Daisy's Porch Reviews
This is a beautiful black owned business. I was impressed with the decor, the outside is so inviting. The overall vibe was delightful. However, the service was extremely slow. After sitting for several minutes without being greeted, I flagged the closest server to ask about our server. There was no management on the floor at all. Once our order was taken the service didn't improve. The meal I ordered was ok.. I have the highest hope for this incredible eatery but it is obvious...read full review
Visited here on a Saturday brunch and I can't wait to go back! I couldn't decide what I wanted on the menu. I ended up with a jerk chicken salad. It was fresh and huge. I will go back and try the buttermilk waffles with fried chicken. Everyone was so friendly. Love their sangria. Their bakery was amazing too. I highly highly recommend.
Still not over how amazing this spot was! The food? Delicious! The staff? So friendly! The experience? A whole vibe! If this place isn’t on your list yet, add it NOW. It’s like coming home. Already counting down the days ‘til I’m back! 🫶🏽🍽️ 😋 #Foodie #Gullah #IssaVibe ♥️♥️♥️

Ma's Porch offers a late lunch and brunch in a beautiful exterior and inviting outdoors area. The property and surrounding buildings are spectacular and an ode to the Gullah Geechee people. The interior design is well put together with palm tree style fan lights going up the stairs. Guests can venture around the varied open area seating or play corn hole. The menu has pimento cheese biscuits with warm sweet potato butter, fish and grits with fried Catfish, chicken and waffles with spicy hot honey, lemon drop flight, stuffed turkey leg with gumbo and a tomato paste based gumbo. The biscuits have a hard surface crust, definite pimento flavor and a sizeable country portion. The fish is hot, moist and has a great crust. The chicken is super crusty, moist and enuff spice. Service is great for most part, though some orders need improving, such as out of butter and a lemon drop flight that arrived with 3 drinks not 4. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is really nice. The place is pricey for the experience but remains a great place to visit for lunch and brunch.
