We really enjoyed our meal and experience, but it wasn't at the standard we were expecting. Two steaks came out medium when they were ordered medium rare. They quickly brought out new, but it kind of ruined the experience while half the table ate and the other half waited. They were very apologetic and made everything right. I just would have expected better from a place like this. Regardless, we still had a good time and the food was good but hoped for better.

This restaurant is truly the pinnacle of fine dining in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. From the moment you step onto the property, you are immersed in the breathtaking beauty of Palmetto Bluff. I highly recommend arriving early to take a stroll along the May River, surrounded by stunning Spanish moss-draped trees—it's a magical experience. Again, the River House did not fail in delivering another five star dining experience! We brought along some friends from out of town, and it just happened to be y friend's birthday...she was blown away with everything! Everyone at the River House is exceptional! Hang on to that staff!!!
