The ribs were fall off the bone tender which we love. They had great side choices. The fries were excellent and the sweet potatoes were delicious. I prefer a sweeter barbecue sauce so it would be nice if they had more than one choice of barbecue sauce. The person taking orders at the front door did not want to be there. She gave a very bad impression for the service (or lack thereof) at the restaurant. It is mostly a self serve restaurant other than they bring out the food. It would be also nice if they cleaned the outdoor tables and chairs. The food was a good value so there is a financial benefit to accept the low service level.

The meat and sides at Bluffton BBQ are exceptional. "Traditional, not trendy". Clearly quality products are expertly prepaired, tweaked with creativity...Menu selections are limited but satisfy expectations. The focus on doing what they do well exceeds all expectations...Without a doubt the ribs and homemade fries are the best these frequent diners have had anywhere. The handwritten notes throughout the cozy setting are amusing in their straightforward directives & assessments.

4.5 out of 5. Pulled pork and ribs were excellent. Really enjoyed the BBQ sauce and potato salad as well. Cole slaw was waayyy too salty and contained black olives and corn , which while unusual I would have been ok with if not so salty. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back when in the area. Thank you for great BBQ!

We are staying in Hilton Head and love to try barbecue wherever we travel, so we decided to drive over to Bluffton after reading about Bluffton BBQ online-it didn’t disappoint! My husband knows good bbq and frequently smokes meats himself, he thought this place ranked in his top 5 barbecues that he has tried. A good test is how the meat tastes before sauce, and this is how we tasted the pulled pork, which was tender, juicy and flavorful on its own. We also got a rack of ribs which were tender and falling off the bone. The sides were equally delicious, we tried the mac’n’cheese, French fries and corn bread. I highly recommend this place!

This BBQ is amazing & the spot they’re set up in makes it quick and easy to stop in and pick up some delicious food and be back on the road in under 5 min. My whole meal was amazing but what stood out to me were their baked beans. The best I’ve ever had. Check em out, you won’t be disappointed.

OMG!!! I've been driving past this place for a couple of years. I've always been busy or full or the place is shut down but today the planets aligned. I pulled in between the lunch and dinner time not what they would have left. They only stay open until they sell out. The smoker they drive in had a pile of ash from the smoker. The menu was fully stocked and I got the pulled pork platter with two sides. I got pork and beans and corn on the cob as sides. The smoke flavor through the meat and sides and perfect. I tried three sauces, two of which were delicious, the other, not my cup of tea but tasty nonetheless. The corn on the cob was a mistake. I should've known grabbing something that doesn't need to cook long at the end of the day might be overdone, but it slipped my mind and I took one bite of the soggy half cob and learned my lesson. I'll be back to try one of those other dishes and some new sides. This was superbly delish!!
SOOO YUMMY! We've tried every BBQ in town and this one is the absolute best by far. You can tell the meat is made with love.

My parents just recently moved to Bluffton and we were out exploring the town and happened to stumble upon Young's BBQ stand. I am so glad we did! The brisket was delicious - there were several options of sauces and the sides were amazing as well! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The best pulled pork and brisket sandwich I have ever had! The collards are tender and sweet. The Mac-n-cheese has a golden crust. If you see Rodney’s sign on May River Road just pull into the parking lot and order your food. You won’t regret it.

While visiting my parents in Bluffton, they took us to the “best barbecue place in Bluffton”. They were so right. From the time we walked in the door, the smell of wonderful barbecue was mesmerizing. Restaurant is intimate in size but so large in taste. Food was amazing. Everything was top shelf in barbecue. Husband and wife team prepares the food personally for you. Both are so friendly. Enjoy.
