A local favorite, I have only recently starting eating there… breakfast out with the fam when in town. Kinda dumpy, the restaurant itself could use a little sprucing up. Although initially charmed by their accommodating us back at Christmas… They were full and didn’t have a table big enough for our group of 8. The 20% upcharge at the register to reflect cost of food is well deserved. Was planning to leave extra even before I saw that because the menu prices were so low. Over easy eggs, country ham, grits and hot coffee. Really welcomed the “home cooked” meal instead of the fast food available closer to the interstate.
