I’ve been here several times…I think the food is really good and the portions are reasonable…but lately it seems like they’ve been a little heavy handed with the salt..the mac and cheese to the oxtails to the chicken tastes like it simply has too much salt. When I pick up my order at night on the weekends it always seems like a vibe but it looks like someone’s living room. The ambiance is not appeasing and I’d never want to eat there..especially on a weekend night.

This is my second time here and both times has been great. I’m born and raised here in Cayce, so I love the vibe and location! Props to the chef fr. My first visit I got jerk chicken, Mac, and collards. No complaints. This time I got the Rasta pasta, excellent flavor but a lil messy which is ok! I love spicy food and honestly expected it to be spicier but it still had great flavor. The people there are welcoming and security makes me feel safe! The parking could be a slight issue, but as long as you’re not in the road or in nobody’s way of getting out your fine. I will be back🙂‍↕️

Here’s a NED-style review for The Reggae Grill:

---

✅ What Works Well
- Bold, authentic Caribbean flavors—jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, and more.
- Generous portions and well-seasoned dishes with just the right amount of spice.
- Laid-back, island-inspired vibe with reggae music enhancing the atmosphere.
- Friendly service and a community feel.
- Good value for the quality and quantity of food.

---

👎 What to Watch Out For
- Some dishes may be too spicy for milder palates—ask before ordering.
- Limited seating and casual setup—not ideal for large groups.
- Wait times can vary, especially during busy hours.
- Menu may rotate or run out of popular items later in the day.

I just received my order and it is missing a couple different items. I ordered pineapple upside down cake, oxtail, Mac and cheese, rice with peas, Jamaican patties. Where are my other items? Does your restaurant send orders half filled? please contact me I'm really upset. 803-315-7726

Walked in 7pm. Ordered the jerk chicken peas and rice with a side of Mac. I am from Miami with elder mamas cooking old school jerk.... The flavors of the jerk and rice was on point. The Mac was perfect. My next order will be the oxtail.... mad respects to the chefs and the ladies in front.

This place literally just tried to scam me! I placed an order through DoorDash and paid for a drink that was 1.99 so when my dasher drops the order off, I notice that my drink is missing. I call the dasher and inquire about where my drink is. He told me that the restaurant basically said i didn’t order a drink and that my order shouldnt get one. Then I called the restaurant and the lady that answered was basically telling me that if the order says “recommended beverages” that doesn’t mean i paid for the drink. I told her no, i actually did pay for the drink because not only was it 1.99 when I chose it as an option but i was charged and its on my DoorDash receipt! Then she proceeded to explain the same nonsense to me but I wasn’t trying to hear it! Not only that the whole order was nasty! Will never order from here again whether it be through DoorDash or in person! Not to mention I paid almost 30 dollars for my whole order! Bad business!

Do NOT order from this restaurant on DoorDash. I’ve had two terrible experiences with this restaurant. The first time they didn’t include my main entree because they ran out of the item even though I was still able to select/order it online. They didn’t even give me my sides, literally just plantains and a Jamaican patty. They don’t bother to call and let you know they ran out of items after you ordered them either. Just recently, I decided to give them another chance and this time I’m disappointed once again. 1, I ordered a large and there’s more rice and peas on this plate than akee and salt fish. There’s about 4x more rice and the portion of LARGE Mac and cheese is small and skimpy. They also ran out of red velvet cake even though I was ABLE to order it on DoorDash. They told my dasher to tell me to choose another cake and the driver ended up never asking me and stealing the cake… however, had they read the notes on the order they would’ve seen that I requested they CANCEL the order if anything is not available. When I called the store and told them this the woman on the phone said they don’t receive the notes “half the time”. I said are they going to contact DoorDash to resolve this and she kept giving excuses and didn’t make an attempt to do anything. I will not be frequenting or definitely ordering from this place again.

Whewww, it’s a no for me. My friend just brought me this plate after giving birth and finally being able to eat real food for the first time and it just pissed me off! The block of mac & cheese was salty and crunchy. The oxtails were tough and salty. The cabbage was just okay though. I thought she was going to Calabash but she said she didn’t know where it was. I should’ve specified where I wanted my oxtails from. I can’t even finish it but I am thankful that she thought of me and did something nice for me.
