Out of town and wanted to try something local. Place has good vibes, ordered the jerk chicken and was told wait time was 20 minutes. 30 minutes waiting and was told that the jerk chicken would be an additional 30 minutes. I ansked to change it into something quicker. So I chose wings. It After an hour of waiting I finally got my food. Good but wasn’t in the mood anymore. Will not return next time I’m in town.

I’ve had better before. It didn’t taste authentic. It tasted Americanized. The rice and beans was dry the didn’t put no oxtail juice on it, the oxtails was ok! And the Mac was decent ??♀️

I had to pick up a DoorDash from here. I’ve never had the food. But the bar was really packed so I had to wait for someone to get up from the bar and slide in as though I was a customer and the guy came back and was a real d*ckhead about me being in his seat but there were no other openings at the bar.
I wrote this review just to say i feel like anyone with doordash or a pre placed to go order should have a separate line or there should at least be a designated part of the bar we line up at because having to wait for the bar patrons to move wasted a lot of my time. We shouldn’t have to fight our way into the bar to pick up an order that is already paid for.

The food was great. You get a lot for what you pay for and that's probably the best thing. I really wish I took pictures. I got the jerk chicken with rice, fries and mozzarella sticks. My wife got the meat patty and some cake. Everything was great and that jerk hits you fast. Overall a good experience. The only thing I would add is maybe more sugar free drinks for those who are diabetic, I didn't see any while looking in the refrigerator and could have easily overlooked it as there was a lot to choose from.

Now I ordered through uber eats. I was looking for a Jamaican restaurant while settling in Columbia SC. I am from NYC where my family from Jamaica resides. Now authentic Jamaica food I KNOW! Anyways, I’ve been craving oxtails like it is going out of style. I have been wanting oxtails like my family make and it is a hit and miss. So I tried this place since it popped up on Uber Eats. Let’s put it like this. It’s 10:47 pm and im waiting on my second order! The oxtails are perfect! The mac n cheese pie was perfect. And the plantains? Meh cyaan wait fi deh delivery fi deh second time!! Deh man need fi speed!! Meh waan meh meh food!! An meh man nah get nun!!
Ion know what some of these folks wit 1 stars was getting but it cant be from this place! If i could give double the amount if 5 stars I would!! And trust i’ll be ordering again and again and again!!!

Out-of-towners. Glad that we stopped. Looked like a typical Jamaican spot, but then we discovered a hidden jewel, once we stepped inside ? They have a nice bar, Rum Punch was IT!! She made a great long island iced tea, as well. There is a lounge on the other side that had a pool table, dj, another bar and high tables. They were even playing dominoes! I had jerk chicken, wasn't my the best I'd had, but my brother loved it. Mac & Cheese was decent buuuttt the greens, the greens, the greens- GOOD!! My friends had fried chicken (but no crust), unsure if their's is fried naked or if the order changed when she only requested wings as her white meat. Either way, she said the flavor was good. Our other friend said the rasta pasta with shrimp was really flavorful but was skimpy on the shrimp. Our bartender/waitress was so polite and attentive. We didn't try the desserts, and I regret it. They had a 3-layer pineapple cake that looked like something my grandmother made!! We'll definitely visit again when we return.

First of all the cabbage has no flavor, very bland, watery, the macaroni and cheese is a square of noodles and cheese ,partially burnt ,the plates are completely too small, what are Coco bread just to receive white dinner rolls with no flavor, order pineapple upside down cake and got charged for it,did not receive it and was told they were out ..but it did not come off of the price. I've never received oxtails from anywhere without rice being under it.. the oxtails stew, is very liquid-ish not thick , honestly taste like watered down BBQ sauce . Can we go to the fact that you're paying $20 for this meal and you are having the smallest pieces of meat an the largest pieces of bone!! And again the plates are tremendously small these are not dinner size plates... Maybe it's because I'm a Caribbean woman ,that has a taste pallet of Haitian & Puerto Ricans. (* Bc I am lol ) But love Jamaican authentic food Jamaican inspired food but this honestly makes me never want to try it again. I got so many great reviews from a few people and I'm truly disappointed ☹️

Food was well prepared and hot, I had the goat stew , goat is a very lean, so you can't over cook it, but the flavor was spot on. The potato & peas stew was delicious, the rice was cooked perfectly. Next time I'm going to try the jersey chicken or the curry chicken. I also heard the Ox-tail stew was also well cooked.
