The place is very beautiful, but the food is just OK—pretty boring, actually. Our waiter was friendly, but overly familiar, which I didn’t really like. I would return, but not to eat; it’s too expensive for such ordinary food. It’s a good spot to cool off from the Charleston heat after a walk, but that’s about it.

C&U provides atmosphere, responsive service, and delicious lamb burgers served with my favorite French Fries! My Regional Director and I were able to meet and hear our conversations. We hosted our wedding farewell party at Church and Union over the weekend and are over the moon happy with how it turned out. The staff was excellent - always ensuring our guests had a drink or an hors d'oeuvre in their hand and never far from view. Guests were raving about the food, and the space was very cool and unique.
