Had such a great evening last night. Celebrating my sisters birthday and it was amazing. The chef came out and personally welcomed us even wish my sister happy birthday with a complementary cannoli. Food was incredible. One of the best experiences long time. Thank you so much!

What a great find! This hidden gem proves that we should explore James Island restaurants more instead of just going to the same go-to spots. The menu offers many classic Italian dishes, as well as many specialty items. Our server, Chloe, was great- attentive and nice. We ordered a large Greek salad to split, perfect size for doing so. Our dinners came with soup or salad, which I didn't realize, so we both had the tomato basil soup. Oh my!! It was delicious! We had spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm. Both were sooo good! We will definitely be back- there are many things on their menu I was to try!

Really reasonably priced. Great flavor. No real presentation to speak of but I didn't care about that last night. I wanted good spaghetti and meatballs and sauce. And I got it. I also had them add spicy Italian sausage which they did with no reservations. The accompanying salad was as basic as you can get with a very spicy house dressing. The bread and oil was wonderful. The old lady had a penne and spicy Italian sausage dish that was excellent as well. She had a side caesar salad that look good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Out the door for $34. That's a deal in my book.

I've been there a few times and had a variety entrees and two things werr my stand out favorites: the delicious pepperoni pizza and my waiter, Patrick. He was working a thirty top all with separate checks and still had the time to discuss the menu to me and bring my food out promptly. He even had some funny jokes! Great experience!

We had a party of over 20 people, and the two waiters did an outstand job of meeting our every need. Good job guys!!!

Had the spaghetti with spicy Italian sausage. Good spice in the sausage. The calzone with spinach was good also.

Food was good and the salad was great. I did a takeout order, and they seem really low staffed at the time, but they were friendly about the wait.

Just left Amalfi's with a pick up order. First, it took 10 minutes to place two simple orders. One, a Greek salad with grilled shrimp, the other a Cesar salad with grilled chicken and shrimp. Secondly, when paying with cash, for one of the orders, the waiter instructed me he had no cash to make change, which has happened several times before to other coworkers. Secondly, neither of the salads were made with Romaine lettuce as indicated on the menu. Both were made using iceberg lettuce, which I despise. Lastly, the service is sub par at best. Now, I remember why I stopped going!! Worst $14 + tip I've ever spent!!

Bread is delicious. Good value. Service is good. Tomato sauce is too sweet for me. Silly but a better quality napkin and utensils at dinner would be nice. I'd go back for lunch.

Dropped in late afternoon, had a great meal, will go again, and hope to pick up To Go from time to time.

Sadly, Amalfi's food quality is continuing to go downhill. Last night was the second time we've ordered pizzas to go that I could immediately smell "bad cheese" on. The pizzas are normally good. Not great, but certainly not bad - I'd say "above average" would be a fair description most of the time. To be fair, the first time they immediately fixed us a new one, but I had to wait and of course go back to get it again. This time I did my due-diligence but could only eat about half each of two slices as bad cheese was intermingled with good which shows an almost conscious effort to use older ingredients mixed in to use what they had. This time we didn't call - I just won't order take-out from them again. There's far too much competition out there for me to support bad food regardless of how willing they are to take it back. Eating in has been nice, though. Their tomato bisque is always good, and their lasagna has never disappointed me, which has more than made up for the rather drab and pedestrian decor and strip-mall parking and associated accessibility issues - that's not their fault. However, regardless of how tight things may get, you simply cannot choose to use sub-standard or post-fresh food ingredients when there are so many other choices on James Island.

Minus two stars for the greasy, worn out ambiance and the sub-par service. I'd rate the food separately if I could, because it rates five stars! The bread was flaky on the outside and tender on the inside. It was served with vinegar and oil with herbs to dip it in. It was absolutely delicious! I had the spaghetti marinara. The noodles were cooked just right. The sauce was made with fresh tomatoes, fresh garlic, and plenty of olive oil. Absolutely delightful! I got the Greek side salad. There was lots of feta, kalamata olives, and other toppings. The Greek dressing was exactly as it was supposed to be. All in all, the meal was definitely worth the money! I'd go back and eat there any time. Highly recommend!
