Stopped in on way out of town from vacation. Soo glad we did. Selection is great and the food was phenomenal. Large portions and fresh. We like that they ate part of SC agriculture proud! We love supporting local and thankful we stopped here

Great staff, amazing local foods with fun, rich flavors, lots of space to work and talk. Not to mention they have so many sweet treats with their roasted coffees and you can take home the magic too when you buy one of their take and bakes: Sheppard Pie, Apple pies, enchiladas, so much goodness!

Such a nice looking place. So much potential. But the good stops there.

Staff smiled and took our order at the standup register. After discussion and clearly stated selection they rang in the wrong item. My “favorite” (sarcasm emphasized) is when they unabashedly watch the “guilt tip” screen. Don’t you just love the concept of tipping at a register, not for service, because that’s nonexistent. Simply a staff compensation entitlement. Nothing but a social pressure surcharge to enhance profitability. Then the audacity to pre-load buttons for 20, 22 and 25%. As if ordering at a counter and being asked to clear your own table deserves a 25% surcharge!

At the table we were provided with the wrong entree. When we said it was the wrong item the staff person looked at us like, “What should I do?” Finally they asked “Would you like me to get you the correct item?” Seemed like a brilliant idea. When the correct item finally came it was rather awful. Scrambled eggs and arugula slathered in some mayonnaise/dijon goo on a baguette, it was something to simply leave behind.

Perhaps the best part of the experience after being greeted with the tip-begging screen were the signs on each of the tables:

“ BAKING
MAGIC
BAKERY & CAFE
Please help our team by clearing your table to the bin located to the left of the l back counter.
Thank You!”

Management, you have some real opportunities for improvement. Great location, easy parking, nice inside. Time for training, rethinking the tipping scheme, and helping your chef plan better menu.

Oh, and you might want to rethink charging three and a half dollars plus tax and tip for a cup of milk.

Croissant is cardboard like, a bit stale, and generally seems like a supermarket brand version. Not at all flakey, buttery, or worth $4-5

Was driving by and just wanted to grab a cup of coffee. Just got a large drip coffee with a shot of vanilla. The coffee was very good and the girl behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. Great customer service. Plan to come back sometime to try their food

The customer service was excellent, and the oatmeal cream pie was on fire. Recovery sandwich was slay and Avo Toast was amazing.
