Locals Sushi & Sports Pub - James Island offers sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and classic pub food. The food is good, great, and of excellent quality. The sushi is very creative, with pink rice paper wrapping and jalapeños in some rolls. Specific meals recommended include the King Roll, Tuna Bites, Pacific Roll, and Firecracker. The crab wontons are hot, fresh, and delicious with visible pieces of crab. The garlic chili edamame is insanely good. Chicken hibachi is absolutely delicious, though the portion size could be larger. The miso soup is average. Prices are spot on and a great value. Service is mixed; some reviews note fast and incredible service, with staff being kind, caring, and accommodating. Specific staff members are praised for being fantastic and the best service ever. Other reviews describe service as not so much, with a waitress forgetting for long stretches and no refills. Service is overall acceptable but sluggish at times. The atmosphere is very lively and enjoyable. There is outside patio seating and a ton of seating inside. It is a great date night spot.
