I’m highly disappointed! We use to live at CIS and I would have a beech bowl often. So when I can get to DI; I still grab a bowl because of the memories and taste. However, our bowl today taste like freezer/refrigerator the açaí and fruit. I asked for extra almond butter ( an up-charge) but there was absolutely none. Spending $31 on two bowls for us not to even eat them due to the stale taste angers me to say the least.

A little disappointed today after my visit: 1. I approved just after 8am when the doors were suppose to be open. They didn't open until 8:20am. I was already in my car. But I went back in. 2. Ordered 2 PBAs with extra peanut butter in both. Hardly any. Had to ask for MORE after the addl$2 he charged me the first time. 3. One PBA was frozen. To me this meant it was made the night before. Thus the lack if extra peanut butter (it would have been on top). When asked, he confirmed they were made the night before. 4. Sat outside. Noticed the trash can was overflowing garbage. They must have forgotten to empty it the evening before. Not pleasant.
5. Two breakfast bowls cost more than $31 w/o tip. I'm willing to pay this. But not for this type of visit.
Been going there for a few years. Perhaps they had an off day??? Or understaffed???

The food is really great - it’s fresh and flavorful - however the facility needs help. The white stools at the high tops are extremely dirty and made me question sitting down. The bathrooms were dusty, dirty and has rusty trashcans. It looked that the bathrooms hadn’t been attended to in quite some time….and there were controlled wet wipes…just not something you’d usually see in a public restroom. While we were waiting on our food a panel on the wall literally fell off of the wall and hit a customer standing in line. This place could be great but it needs some major oversight and help.

We visited here for brunch during a trip and it was delicious. The service was great and the cashier answered all of our questions about the menu items. It was one of the better açaí bowls I’ve ever had, but the toppings were a little sparse. Quality of the ingredients was very good. Definitely recommend!

Best açaí bowl in Daniel Island! The service was prompt and very patient since this was my first visit. Loved the freshness of the fruit and flavor of the bowl was unmatched. Will 10/10 recommend trying this place out!

Vegetarian options: I love, love, love this place. I’ve lived in NY and Portland and have decided that this menu has more healthy veggie options than similar restaurants and PDX food carts.
