Awesome experience at Brown Dog Deli! Great prices for really awesome food.
I got the Philly Collins (their version of a cheesesteak) and I was honestly very impressed.
Would definitely recommend for lunch or a quick grab and go snack to split.
Seriously so good!!! This place is such a great Charleston staple. Easy and quick lunch place. The staff is very friendly and very attentive (bringing your food to your table when its ready and clearing plates when finished). They have SO many good sandwiches and wraps. Also try their smoothies. Pretty well priced especially for Charleston. Definitely give this place a try you wont be disappointed.
Don’t over look this place. It may be small, but the food is incredible. Nice outdoor area as well.
Wonderful experience food and service. Recommend
My roast beef sandwich, is actually some strange stringy chili powder flavored pork. The au jus.... is just red grease that smells of canned chili. I could not be more disgusted or disappointed. SAD SAD FACE
Easily a top-5 burger in a cool dive-y joint
This place was delicious!! We came from out of town and stumbled upon it starving and we left so happy!
I had the turkey caesar wrap and the pesto pasta salad: the wrap was crisp and fresh with so much flavor and the pasta salad was creamy and I was so excited to see that it was made with tortellini!
My dad and boyfriend both got the philly collins which they loved. It was HUGE!!
My sister is so picky but she devoured the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The soup was one of the best I’ve had from a restaurant.
I’m not sure if it’s seasonal but the lavender haze refresher was so good that we ordered one togo after we finished our first one!
We were too full to try any but the pastries in the case were beautiful as well.
The inside is so thoughtfully decorated, we spent the entire meal pointing out things from our childhoods.
I cannot wait to come visit again and eat here!
My wrap was a great size and delicious. The vibes were great
I visited Brown Dog Deli today and was really disappointed. I waited about 20 minutes for my order, which I was willing to overlook—until I actually got the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and it came out ice cold. Not lukewarm, cold. Totally inedible. The only thing I could eat were the fries and my drink. After that wait, I expected something fresh and hot, not something that felt like it came out of a fridge. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.
The best gluten-free sandwich I’ve ever had. Unreal tastes paired between bread. Already dreaming of another sandwich from here!

I’m so upset. My husband had surgery yesterday at MUSC and we walked to Brown Dog Deli. I ordered the Totes MA Goats and it was amazing. So today, I had a craving for the sandwiche again so I ordered it online and had it delivered well they left off the goat cheese and that really makes the Sandwich. I tried to call them but I think they are closed so I guess I won’t get the goat cheese.
There were 4 of us and we all ordered differently. I had paradise panini and it was amazing. My mother had the folly crunch wrap and she said it was delicious. My aunt had the notorious blt, which I tried and I have to say it was by far the best blt I’ve ever ate !!!!! My other aunt had the Greek chicken salad and said it was scrumptious! Recommend eating here if you can!! Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was inviting and welcoming. We were able to have conversation and laugh without feeling like we were to loud. The radio plays but not so loud you can’t talk normally. It’s a fun place!!!!
Ordered from Wes for a catering order on a busy Wednesday. Great communication from start to finish! He went above and beyond to make suggestions and help out. Would highly recommend them for everything from a small lunch to catering as the sandwiches and service were great!
Good food. Not family friendly at all. My daughter (1 yo) started crying while we were eating and they turned up the music to a level where other patrons looked at me in disbelief. We took my daughter outside until she calmed down. It felt very rude to try and drown out a baby when we were visibly trying to calm her.
The BLT sandwich was amazing! Great vibe with all the retro games and toys. The Burrata sandwich was a hit with my son too. Definitely recommend if anywhere near the CofC campus.
