I visited the Cake Bar today and got a few items. My husband and I have already sampled the strawberry cupcake, tres leches cake, and chewies. They are all absolutely delicious!!! The flavors are amazing and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back, especially since it’s right downtown the street from us!
If I had to critique anything it would be with the cupcake. The icing was really sweet and there was a thick layer, so it overpowered the cake. The flavor is so good that I would want to eat the whole cupcake, but I don’t think I’d be able to. I’d probably buy less cupcakes because they’re sweeter, but would get more if it was a little more balanced. Looking forward to visiting again soon though because I’d pick their desserts over most bakeries in Charleston.

Poor Customer Service. We were frequent buyers. But I tried to get Alexis is make my Son's graduation cake. She could have cared less. My Son is only person who has finished one those mega desserts. She offered NOTHING. No designs, no ideas no prior designs. She only offered a fondant cake for $400 from a blurry photo on FB and she made me look that up online myself. It looked horrible. Didnt match the price at all. Went to a local competitor they made a classy and beautiful graduation cake that was also DELISH!!! They offered various designs and they were cost friendly and it matched the skill and effort. Not going back to Cakebar by Alexis. Terrible Customer for customers coming in on a regular basis. Don't Go Cakebar by Alexis.
