Lived up to its reputation as a classic, white table cloth, romantic type of restaurant. We dined for our 15th anniversary, which they recognized from our reservation. All the food was solid, but my wife's steak entree was excellent.

Great waitstaff, food and drinks! Definitely 5 stars.

Dietary restrictions: Did a fabulous job of keeping me safe from eggs even with a preset menu and large party. There were several allergies in our party and each of us felt well taken care of and no attitude about it from staff.

Wonderful experience dining here for our wedding anniversary. Our waiter Bryan was great. We did the a la carte option and the pork chop was the best we ever had and will ever have. It was melt in your mouth. The appetizers, desserts, everything was fabulous. We appreciated they had their own parking lot that was free for restaurant guests. Really cool history to the building as well

Me and my beau tried out this lovely establishment during July. The ambiance was on point but I was quite disappointed with the very limited menu. Typically I would rate a restaurant with such a sparse menu lower, yet the fish I didn't want but tried anyway, was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was stellar. The bartender was top notch too! I would just advise: not the best place for picky eaters who aren't too adventurous.

I was there for a private event, but the food and service was excellent. I want to come back to celebrate for a special occasion!

This is a wonderful little spot in Charleston. The ambiance is sophisticated yet intimate. The food and it's presentation are top notch. The chef has a creative mind and the dishes are a revelation! I'd highly recommend selecting one of the multiple course offerings (Ashley or Cooper). Each provides a different taste and texture experience. The portions are the perfect size and timing between courses is perfect.

If you stay at the Wentworth, complimentary breakfast is included at Circa and it is phenomenal!

I'll definitely return when in Charleston again!

Beautiful restaurant- clean and peaceful vibe.
Excellent service - Bryan is an all star.
The 5 course dinners were delicious. The banana old fashioned is fantastic.

Food was good. The service was like a well orchestrated dance. people moved in and out from your table placing and removing things as needed. You never waited for anything. It was very expensive considering the food you received. It was a good experience, but I'm not sure that I would return.

Parking: We walked there. It took 30 minutes from our location. It's situated in a neighborhood. Charleston historic district is very walkable.

We had an incredible meal at Circa 1886. This was our first time visiting Charleston and we wanted to find elevated food. Tasting menus are one of our favorite ways to experience many refined plates all at once. Circa 1886 has not one, but two tasting menus you can choose from. We got one of each and split all of the dishes. Don't be thrown off by the "small" portion sizes because we both left incredibly full. All together it was over 10 plates! The flavors of each dish are complex, balanced, and well thought out. The tasting menu is a flavorful journey, and each bite a carefully crafted experience in your mouth. The menu is seasonally rotating, so there will always be something new to try.

Our server was the bartender, Denis, who takes his job seriously. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. One of my favorite things to see at a restaurant is when the entire team is helping to create a great experience for customers. It is not just one server, but a team of people, like a well oiled machine, and all of them are knowledgeable about the menu and the food they're serving. This restaurant serves with pride.

If you are looking to experience high level food done with passion, look no further.
