I hate to give such a rating but I have to not due to the food, the food is amazing but the cashier is prejudice towards Black people. Lizzy has an issue with serving people of color and she can’t even hide it, you can tell just by the way she looked at me she didn’t want to take my order. Rosa also treated me like I wasn’t standing there when I went to purchase my beverage. You guys need to practice customer service skills because it’s not my first time coming into this location but it’s the first time I was treated rudely and made to feel like it was an issue to spend my money in there. I will not be back to this location.
Not thing to say about the food but the cashiers at the store are very rude and disrespectful. Horrible customer service from them.
I cannot even begin to explain how amazing the Birria tacos are. I can only imagine how great the other foods are; I’ll have to try more. Great grocery selection as well!
Awesome, tasty, authentic tacos and beans. If you are craving some good tacos for lunch one day, you absolutely will be smiling after leaving here. You may think it odd to go to a supermarket for prepared food, but trust me. The taqueria here is profoundly good.
Just the best. Whether eating in or shopping for home, it's the closest to California Mexican on the East Coast.
Second time here, looked much cleaner and it smelled so delicious. Hopefully it keeps getting better every time. The first time I was here it was not so good. I gave them a second chance and was really impressed 👌

El Molino is easily one of the best spots in Charleston for authentic Mexican food. I stop by often for their birria tacos, and they are always on point--tender, flavorful, and packed with rich broth.
Definitely the best birria in town.
The service is fast and efficient. It's not a full-service restaurant, but the staff is always friendly and gets orders out quickly.
As for ambiance, it's more of a market than a sit-down spot, but that adds to the authenticity. It feels like a hidden gem, and you can also pick up great ingredients to take home. If you're looking for legit Mexican food in Charleston, this is the place!

Great taco spot. My favorite is Birra tacos. Many options. Great bakery, ice cream , smoothies, meat dept. We buy fresh. Tortillas. Mt favorite lunch stop.
It was the food reviews for me. I was running errands, and needed to eat. I came across taco review before, and never went.
Its an ethnic grocery like you would imagine, but I came for there Cooked/prepared food instead.
To my surprise they were busy, people waiting on orders, and people dining in. You have good mix of ethnic back grounds, and locals which is usually a good tell, tell sign the food is good.
I had the birria torta, amazing. All the components were just right soft toasted bread, beef had great flavor, creaminess of the avocado, birria drippings on the side, and the spicy hot sauce all worked together.
Only 4 stars because it cant beat El Paso,TX. I will be back...great local find.
Great supermarket, and great food! Highly recommend if youre looking for a different lunch spot! Will absolutely be back 👍
Their Caldo de Res is soooo good. This grocery store has products from all over Latin America, not just Mexico.
Cool assortment that you won't find in your grocery store's ethnic department
