We found Fig online and their food is good tagline is true, we went on May 21st while visiting Charleston for the first time. For Appetizers we had the blue crab ravioli and then for our meals we had trigger fish and scamp grouper. The sticky sorghum pudding was awesome for dessert. For drinks we had the Charisse sparkler as well as a couple other cocktails and glasses of wine, Props to the chefs, service and bartender. We will definitely go back if we visit Charleston.
Spent a few days trying all three Charleston restaurants recently cited in RobbReport 100 Best Restaurants in the US. We thought this one was the best of the three. The dinner was an exceptionally good meal.
The four of all came for the first time with high expectations, and they were all surpassed. The ambience is warm and inviting, the service was outstanding, the wine was perfectly paired, and the food was incredible. By far the best overall dining experience we've had in Charleston in quite awhile. Kudos!

Ended up getting two pasta dishes which were excellent, and just right since apps were filling.

We didn’t have reservations, but were able to sit at the bar! We had the best food, craft cocktails and dessert! The staff was amazing, especially Kiersten, K-WOW, the bartender! Highly recommend!
The food here blows my mind EVERY TIME. My husband and I always sit at the bar and order just about every small plate on the menu. Each one is fabulous, with this visit’s standout dishes being the oysters, sweet corn + polenta soup, wagyu tartare, and, as always, the gnocchi. Incredible food and impeccable service. One of my favorite restaurants in the world.
FIG is the perfect spot in Charleston to go for a special occasion. Everything is made to perfection and the service is 10/10. This is one of the few menus where we are open to trying absolutely anything because we know it will be amazing. We had Alex as our server and he added to the experience, being able to perfectly describe complex flavors of the dishes and really paint a picture to how the dishes were made. It is pricey but very worth it. Make sure to get a reservation EARLY though because they sellout quick for weekends.

While the food was good, the service was just terrible. We had to wait over 30 minutes to place our order and proceeded to have 40+ minute waits between ordering, receiving our appetizers, and our mains- all to be met with a chewy steak. While we wanted dessert, we could not fathom waiting another 40+ minutes so instead we asked for the check and left cus it was basically 11pm ( for context we had an 8:30pm reservation). Wish this place was what I thought it was cracked up to be…
The service was warm, but a bit slow.
The food was very good, especially the fish and the mashed potatoes are so delicious.

Hands down one of the best meals I've had in recent history. Steak tartare was unbelievable, well seasoned and served with an impossibly thin potato crisp. The lamb was served like a ribeye cap with a bordelaise-like sauce. Creative and balanced cocktails, plus a nice wine selection. And our server knew her stuff. Overall a terrific experience.

Not sure how anyone rates this under 5. FIG is a must while in Charleston. Wait staff is first class to pair with the amazing dishes served here. Alex crushed it tonight…Knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Here’s the gnocchi, oysters, amberjack, pork chop and sticky sorghum pudding.

After a few seconds of looking over the dessert menu I ended up going with the Torta Caprese with amaretto ice cream and caramel and the Sticky Sorghum Cake with cinnamon ice cream.
The Torta Caprese with amaretto ice cream and caramel was created with an old italian family recipe passed down to the pastry chef by her grandmother. How can you resist something like that. The cake itself was essentially flour less chocolate cake with almonds and it was delicious. The amaretto ice cream was a nice pair to the dessert, bringing out the almond flavor from the cake, but I found the amaretto flavor to be a little strong for my liking.
The Sticky Sorghum Cake with cinnamon ice cream was a play off of a the traditional British dessert sticky toffee pudding with the addition of sweet sorghum syrup (similar to molasses). The sorghum syrup added a depth of flavor to the cake that paired perfectly with the spice from the cinnamon ice cream and the sticky sweet caramel.
FIG was the perfect way to end my day and an easy recommendation for anyone in Charleston.
