A reasonably priced French style restaurant. The wine list was good and VERY reasonably priced. You share tables with others, encouraging interaction with new people. Lovely service, will enjoy going back soon. Ask for extra garlic butter sauce with your vegetarian (mushroom) escargots, you never go wrong with more butter and garlic.
We had a very nice meal at Gaulart & Maliclet. We happened upon the restaurant last night on our way back to our VRBO and stopped in for desserts. Had a lemon torte and cheesecake. Both were delicious and we liked the vibe, so we canceled our reservations at one of Charleston's "famous" restaurants and made one here for this evening. We were not disappointed! The food is AMAZING. Makes me feel like I’m at europe with how beautiful the outside seating is and the delicious French cheeses they serve. The price is also super great compared to just about everywhere else in Charleston. Affordable and delicious! Thank you!
