A very small establishment... The food was good. However the delay in getting a table and receiving our meals was extremely long despite placing our orders in advance. We were supposed to dine in, but I ended up eating on the motorcoach.

Stopped by here with some of my coworkers, and it was great! The people there were so kind and the food was soooo good! We had the crab rice and the gizzards and both plates were to die for! The manager was super nice, our drinks stayed full, and we loved the atmosphere there! Lots of good vibes and good music playing! Also worth mentioning, for our group it was very affordable! Love this place!

The hostess/ server was excellent. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a welcome and made to feel right at home. Great soul food choices. Everything looked and sounded so good that I watched every plate as they came out within my view. The couple across from me had whiting and crab rice that looked so good, I took a picture of it. My husband got this unique, specialty lima bean dish served with smoked neckline and pigtails served over white rice. I got a smothered turkey wing with gravy and onions and cabbage and sweet yams as my sides. Everything was delicious!

Food was good, extremely long wait, staff didn't seem clear on their roles for a large party.

My daughter and I visited Hannibal's Kitchen on our last day in Charleston, S.C. based on Google reviews. If I knew the food was that delicious, I would eaten there every day. Even my friends in Savannah loved the food we brought there for them. We all shared the ribs, mac and cheese, collard greens, okra soup, pigtails and collards over rice, and crab rice. I only wish they could deliver to Brooklyn, N.Y.

On Friday, we had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at Hannibal’s Soul Kitchen — and what an experience it was! From the moment we arrived, we felt the heart and soul of this place. The motto “Feeding the Soul of the City” couldn’t be more true — the food is full of flavor, warmth, and tradition.
The atmosphere was inviting, the service was friendly, and every dish tasted like it was made with love. Hannibal’s isn’t just a restaurant — it’s truly a gathering spot that celebrates community, culture, and soulful food.
If you’re ever in Charleston and craving authentic soul food that feels like home, Hannibal’s is a must. We can’t wait to go back! 💛🍴

My family and I had the pleasure of dining here today. Everything from the music, to the atmosphere to the food was AMAZING. The staff were super friendly. They were dancing with the customers, cracking jokes and hyping up people as they danced. We were greeted by a beautiful woman who called us “family” which I loved. The smothered pork chops, yams, greens and mac and cheese reminded me of my mom’s cooking. I loved everything about this restaurant. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in Charleston and I would definitely recommend dining here if you are looking for authentic soul food.

The food was great! Atmosphere was muggy and music too loud. Waitress Gabb was a little too flirty with my companion.
