Daniel was such a great server and one of the best we have ever had. We really enjoyed our time here and before we left, my son already wants to come back next year on vacation! We had such a great time!!

Food was fabulous as always as was waitresses. However outside staff was not. Got there at 4:15 on 14 July. Was told wait would be 10 to 20 min. Blonde person taking my name couldn’t seem to get it right or didn’t care. I even spelled it and my name is easy and I am a native English speaker. After 20 min everyone who was there when we came up had been seated. I asked same person if they had called my name and was told no. Stayed in front of stand and when next table came up the blonde handed the other lady a slip with names marked out and whispered something to her. We were there and the black lady apologized after the other one had said we had not been passed. Black lady said we would have an appetizer brought to our table for delay. That didn’t happen either. Not sure what really happened as we were in front of store whole time and never heard our name or anything even similar. Bottom line was it took over 30 minutes to get seated and that was time I didn’t need to spend because I had a 5 hour drive to get home that night.

We had a baseball tournament in Charleston and last minute our team and families wanted to get together for dinner. The Hyman family went above and beyond any of our expectations. We called in around 7pm wanted to get seating for 35 ppl lol..They made it happen and they impressed us all not only with their food but their hospitality. Wish I could go back everyday for the flounder!

This is a good seafood place right in the middle of everything Charleston. The croquettes are amazing, the fish seemed fresh and was cooked well, and the hushpuppies are the second best I’ve ever had. It’s fun to see all the celebrities who have dined there. We sat at a table used by Senator Lindsay Graham and Judge Wapner. Our server was very helpful, answering our questions about the menu and offering recommendations. One of the owners, Tobias, visited our table to thank us for choosing to dine there, and went out of his way to make sure our visit was a good experience. We went for an early dinner to minimize our wait time because the line can get quite long here. There was a young man walking the sidewalk offering hushpuppies to those who were waiting, which was a nice way to encourage people to keep waiting 😉
