Beautiful restaurant. I recommend to dine inside. I love ambience more than anything. The garlic knot appetizer is tasty. Hand cut fries. We got the sandwiches. Other cool restaurants near by. I highly recommend to make reservations. They have booths and chairs to sit on.

I really loved the atmosphere. Parking was easy (there's a lot right off Race st). Service was spot on! Avoid the burger. Looks good, isn't. Cooked (unseasoned) meat on a bun with cheese and is small. Crab cakes on the other hand are to die for. Best I've ever had. I should've ordered two! Garlic knots are also heavenly. Overall 10/10 experience.

such a cool little restaurant, the vibe and ambiance are top tier for sure! the staff were nice and helpful, our food came quick, and the place was very clean and tidy! if you came looking for burgers, you’re in the BEST spot. HIGHLY recommend the tavern burger — everyone in my party tried it and loved it. just perfection. we came while visiting charleston and we’ll definitely remember this place when we come back.

Terrible terrible customer service!
This place RIPPED us off.
We placed a very large to go order for 17 people. We called at noon to ask them if they would accommodate and they said yes. We asked what time we should place the order so it could be picked up at 5pm and were told 3pm.
Right at 3pm we were at the restaurant and placed the order. 20 minutes later were notified the food would be ready in 10 minutes. We reminded them that we don't need the food until 5pm but were told there was nothing they would do since the food was already being cooked. Our card had already been charged at this point.
Of course we pushed back and all they would do is give us what they call a "massive" discount and waive 3 of the 17 items. Because the food was ready way too early we had to replace the entire order and they made us pay for it AGAIN. The only consolation they would give is a $50 gift card - on a bill that is more than $500. So we essentially paid for our same food TWICE because we didn't have time to get 17 peoples orders for a different restaurant.
The way they restaurant handled their mistake is an absolute master class in how not to do business.
We get a large to go order almost every day for our group and in 15 years have never had a restaurant do this.

Totally unethical - ordered a LARGE order in advance. They made it 3 hours early and then CHARGED US to remake it at the proper time. 100% their mistake and took no responsibility for it - instead they took $600 from us. Terrible, terrible, terrible place.

Eclectic American tavern with great burgers and great service. I love all that they have to offer. The cauliflower is to die for! My wife had the salmon and I ordered the surf and turf, everything was an A++. Definitely will be back!

I walked down for lunch, which I’d never been here before. The staff was so kind and called me by name, and even the chef came out and spoke to a customer and didn’t hesitate to also give me a hi and a smile. I will definitely be walking for lunch often.

Waitress spilled water all over me. Said sorry once. Then she had someone else get me 2 more napkins dropped them on table. I had to wipe the table off myself and dry myself. Then she never gave me another clean DRY NAPKIN to eat with. Just complete lack of respect and care for something she caused. Won't ever go back
