My favorite restaurant when visiting Charleston. Every food item was delicious. The French fries were among the most perfectly fried and spiced I have ever tried.

Very good! Very casual. Ceviche was delicious. Mussels were very good. Snapper entree a bit salty but crispy (would order again). Beer selection was thoughtful with a bunch of local choices. Curry was rated good but probably not order again. Empanadas and sauce were very good. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Over priced food. 2nd time we've been there. Good service, but over all disappointed. When you drop $120.00 for two, you want to feel like you had an experience. We did not. I smelled something dead coming from the neighboring trash bin 40 yards away. Maybe the wait staff should have figured a solution on that. My brisket looked like it was in a crockpot for two days. Needed some veg side or something. $24 for that? My two drinks were weak on the booze. Taste was good on the food. Ashley, our server was top notch. Nice to see they have installed an awning, porch situation, but they need to knock down the road noise with something. suggestion to the owner. improve atmosphere outside. better menu options, lower pricing on food.

We went to this place looking for something outside of downtown with outdoor seating. It is in a random building on the side of a main road, but the decor inside is nice. The service is good and the food is high quality. The chicken was covered in a cilantro-based sauce, and I don't like cilantro, so maybe take note if you plan to order it. It may have said that on the menu and I missed it. I ate my husband's brisket instead. We really enjoyed the empanadas and the peas. Every bean we ate was perfectly cooked. Overall, it was a nice meal.

Well designed, savory food, great quick date place. Glad to see this place continue on with a new face. Would love to see alcohol on the menu soon, but still BYOB when we visited.

This place should really be on the list of every foodie in Charleston. Every. Single. Thing. They make is DELICIOUS! You're getting a quality meal sourced through local farms and businesses. The chef does an excellent job. It's a fun, comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff and great food. Go go go!

Highly recommend. Creative and delicious food, substantial portions and reasonable prices. Fun and friendly staff, attractive design, BYO, parking... Don't miss the Watermelon Salad!

Chef Mike is a true culinary magician! All of his dishes are simplistic in ingredients, yet complex in flavors. Some of my favorites are the PBLT, Shrimp Ceviche and Steak & Onions! The price point is also amazing. Highly recommend a visit to see what Patois is all about!

Cute little spot. Nice decor. Very much in its infancy, It was BYOB. Wife ordered chicken empanadas. Empanadas were not impressive. Filling was "pasty" and not a lot of flavor. The dipping sauce was "okay" but would not order this dish again. We both ordered the pork belly appetizer. My order was very good. Great flavor, nice meat to fat ratio and very tender/moist. My wife's order was just the opposite. Almost entirely fat with a thin "leather" side. Could not even chew it. We both liked the sauce though. I went with the Cuban sandwich with fries. The Cuban was a substantially sized sandwich with a generous portion of fries. There was good (typical) flavor. Nice ratio/layering of meats, cheese and pickles. Unfortunately the pulled pork was very dry and chewy. Our dining partner chose the snapper special dish and said he liked it and would order it again even though the fish portion was rather small. The big hit on our table was the French fries! They vanished off of my plate!!! Just imagine seagulls on folly beach tearing into someone's bag of cheese curls they left unattended! The fries were seasoned perfectly. Fried up nice and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I am thinking that we won't be back real soon. We may give Patois time to get the kinks out.

Amazing food. They are still transitioning but you can’t tell by the food quality. It will be one of our go to restaurants when we visit Charleston.

Had a great date night, especially since we were the only one's there. Amazing service, extremely unique dishes that all satisfied. We loved the eclectic collection of serving dishes. The cream corn was phenomenal, the empanadas out of this world, and loved the peach salad.Even though we had been to this location before under a different name, we missed our stop and had to turn around. At the time there was no signage so be on the lookout when you get close. Also, if it is a quiet night like when we went, be prepared for some slightly salty kitchen language. We found it entertaining, but forewarning to those who may not be used to back of house proximity.

Lovely little restaurant with a fantastic staff and the sweetest owner. The most amazing watermelon salad…that I would have eaten as an entree! My husband and I highly recommend. Cheers!!
