Had two apps and two entrees on a Tuesday night with a friend and the restaurant was not too busy. Food was fantastic & Karmyn provided great service. Cozy vibe that exceeded all expectations.

We had their signature dish: fried chicken. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly done. Highly recommend! Portions were generous. Service was excellent and very friendly. Waitstaff were well-informed about the menu and could answer all of our questions. Atmosphere was upscale pub and a bit noisy. We did not have cocktails but it looked like they had an interesting cocktail menu.

Celebrated my son's Navy Nuclear power school graduation here! We were hot, hungry and tired after a long morning but Food and drinks were great. Our server had her hands full with many large tables but she was attentive and got us what we needed in a timely fashion. The cornbread and the egg roll appetizer were a hit to start us off and my son and daughter raved about the short rib ragu! Great place to try!

Somewhat disappointing because the food was bland and needed more spice. The only flavor was salt for the fried chicken, so missing at least 10 herbs and spices. But it was crunchy.

I ordered the general Rudy's chicken and it was so salty, I couldn't even eat it. It wasn't quite as described either. The rice wasn't the white jasmine rice as expected but had soy sauce on it and drenched in sauce! We were in a rush for a tour so just had to deal with it but I wouldn't be returning.

I had a fun date with my boyfriend yesterday, and we ate deviled eggs, fried pickles, and split the chicken pot pie & General Rudy's Chicken! Arrian, our server was kind enough to let the kitchen know, and they split the dishes into 2 separate plates for us! It was so thoughtful, and very much appreciated! Thank you for making us feel special, and for such amazing service! We will definitely be back! 5 stars!

This was my first time at Rudy Royale, it it wil not be my last. The food was delicious! The fried chicken is their signature item, and it pairs well with everything. The service was attentive and kind. The atmosphere is very pleasing to the eye. And it is in downtown Charleston with walking distance to SO MANY places.

The fried chicken was expertly prepared! Most chicken surrounded by a very tasty, crunchy coating. Cucumber salad was a nice mix of freshness and subtle heat. Great value for a great meal. Would highly recommend!

I really did not need a reservation as there were ample tables available. The fried chicken was good but felt strange to eat a piece of chicken with your hands at a finer restaurant. The time to receive the food from the time it was placed was swift. I would return to the restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious! You must try the cracked potatoes! So good. My friends raved about the chicken pot pit. Southern food done right!

This was our first visit to rudy royale. Restaurant was spacious and clean, our waitress Annie was very pleasant and helpful. We were there on a Tuesday night and there was no wait.
We got some friend pickles to start and then had the general royale chicken bowl, Cesar salad, chicken sandwich and short rib Alfredo.
It was all hot and delicious! We will be back.
