We waited all day to go here for pizza. We arrived between 530 and 6pm and everything was dark. According to the website they are open from 3pm to 12am. No sign on the door. We were there at 1145am and was told pizza didn't start until 3pm. Very frustrating and disappointing. At least put a sign on the door.

The pizza is amazing, really good flavor. I walked in the place to go order early afternoon and my order was ready within 12 minutes. This is the second time I’ve eaten here best pizza, hands-down.

Not used to that kind of pizza. Do not like pepperoni.

I had the Shroom pizza... it was so good, that in spite of setting out to eat half, I forced myself to eat the whole thing because it tasted so dang good. Once of the best pizzas I've had in my entire life, and I've had a lot of pizza. Give it a try, well worth it. My wife got the clam pizza and loved it.

This is an interesting use of space, it’s Toast breakfast restaurant from 7am to 3 pm and converts to a pizza restaurant from 3pm til closing. We went for dinner and split a really amazing truffle buratta salad as our appetizer and then a crispy Margarita pizza. The combination was perfect for two medium hungry people. The salad was very good with a generous twist of prosciutto and tasty heirloom tomatoes and buratto. Dressing was spot on. The pizza was good but not great. The crust was ok but floppy and the overall taste was a little bland. Overall it was good for downtown pizza but not the best. Service was terrific, very attentive without being overbearing, and quick to address any needs. The atmosphere is good, fairly well lit with plenty of seating. Music a little loud but it’s still possible to talk at moderate levels. Prices good for downtown. Overall we give the Republic of Pizza three and one half clams (4 stars on the GenX scale) on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

We popped in for a quick bite and found really good pizza and great hospitality! The shroom pizza was amazing made with four types of mushrooms and a black garlic aioli sauce. Super friendly bunch, they held our pizza while we went to a show. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a light casual dinner for four and came across this place location on King St. All dishes were shared among all. We had ordered the Broccoli Rabe which was very good taste wise but could have been cooked a bit more for us. We ordered two Chopped Salads which were absolutely wonderful. The cherry peppers added a nice bit of kick! For pizzas we ordered the Meatball pizza and the Fennel Sausage pizza. All four of us enjoyed both pizzas. Needless to say we did not need any take away boxes! The only down side was the waiter ( I do not recall his name but he had a crazy mustache). He did this weird thing with the credit card machine, like holding it so we could see it but not necessarily close up and when we were paying and did not provide a printed receipt. We were paying cash and were tired so did not think about then. However the next day after speaking to each other we were all thinking he was pulling some sort of fast one on us or the management of the restaurant. It was just odd. Would we return yes, but would ask for a different waiter if he got him again.

Servers were to busy on their phones to attend to us customers, so we left after waiting a long time for a server.Spend your money somewhere else - there is a lot of good alternatives nearby that are willing to serve their customers!

Visiting Charleston from Greenville yet again. Found this great pizza and cocktail joint. Food was amazing. The wood fire and premium san marzano tomatoes makes this one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The seasonal punch and apple sangria were wonderful. My husband and I both left feeling happy and full from 2 drinks and half a pizza. Makes your standard Mellow Mushroom look mediocre.
