Service, food, wine and cocktails were perfect. Highly recommend. Sommelier absolutely knocked it out of the park. We will be back.

Our waiter Shea was wonderful and the sommelier made a great recommendation for our wine. The food and service were impeccable. It has become our favorite restaurant in Charleston and we can’t wait to come back.

I could not write this review fast enough. We had the pleasure of having Eric as our server last night. What an incredible guy. He greeted us by name, went over the entire menu page by page, offered recommendations for food and drink. We did the chef’s experience tasting menu and it was incredible. Eric went over each course and explained how it was prepared. Our bill after some drinks and tip was a bit over $400 but truly the best money I have ever spent for food and experience. Again, thank you to Eric for making our time in Charleston so memorable and if we are ever back we will be requesting him by name, he was truly wonderful. -The Fees

Food was good but underwhelming. The portion size for the price point was not worth it.Glad I tried it probably wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.

From the moment we stepped inside Sorelle and were greeted by a dashing Italian host, we knew we were in for the real thing. We sat upstairs in a tastefully decorated room where, even though all seats were filled, we could easily hear one another. Our server Eric was superb: knowledgeable of the menu and beverage menus, friendly, efficient and attentive without being intrusive. I apologize for not taking any photos of the delicious foods, so I will list them and recommend each of them: grilled Sardinian octopus, broccoli Caesar, zucchini Parmigiana, and for entrees: papardelle al coniglio, Sorelle spaghetti, and pillows of gold ricotta tortellini. For dessert: crosstata for two, budino di cioccolata, and 24k olive oil gelato sundae. Check their online menu for descriptions. In sum, I do not remember ever having had before such a delicious meal in a beautiful setting with impeccable service. Your wait for a reservation is worth it.

Absolutely incredible meal. Impeccable service, amazing ambience, and the most delicious food. The Saltimbocca Alle Mela is like nothing I've ever eaten. In a city with so many wonderful restaurants to try, it can be hard to visit the same place twice. But we will definitely be back again!

Incredible experience here at Sorelle. The customer service was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. When seated, we were greeted by name. Each waiter took their time explaining the menu to us, and made us feel welcome. The food and drinks had exceptional attention to detail and tasted wonderful. The ambience in here was warm and perfect for a celebration or date night. I would certainly come back here for a special occasion.

Charleston is loaded with fine dining restaurants and Sorelle is one of the latest. Located on Broad St. near the Four Corners of Law, three old charleston homes have been merged into this very unusual and attractive restaurant. There are actually two complexions to the restaurant, a less formal bar dining area with a limited menu, including pizza and sandwiches, and a more formal dining room on the second floor with an extensive menu and a large well schooled waitstaff. There is also a small merchandise/coffee area near the entry foyer. We had relatively early reservations to accommodate a show time. We were a few minutes early for the reservation but required to wait until our reserved time. This drives me crazy but is common in many restaurants. Why make early arrivals wait to be seated in an empty restaurant? There was plenty of waitstaff twiddling their thumbs and we could have easily sat with a drink rather than wait ten minutes in a crowded entry foyer. Makes no sense. We were finally called forward and led up to the formal dining area (relatively empty)where we were seated. Service was quick and efficient and we shared appetizers and drinks while perusing the menu. Bread ($9) was a small freshly baked fougasse, warm and crispy with a small chilis hidden within. The Arancini ($14) was perfect. For main dishes, three elected the pastas, the Ragu, the Sorelle spaghetti and the Pillows of Gold, the ragu and Pillows were excellent. The Sorelle spaghetti was less so, being a bit overcooked and pasty. The star of the show were the scallops, perfectly prepared and accompanied by semolina dumplings. We shared dolce, but they were not noteworthy. The dining room filled quickly and by the time we left it was full. Noise level was relatively low and you could easily hold normal conversations. On the other hand, noise level in the bar area on the first floor which we passed departing, was earsplitting. Probably not the location for a quiet dinner. Overall service was very good. I counted seven different waitstaff including the sommelier, visiting our table for one thing or another. Decor was very eye pleasing, a subdued elegance with comfortable seating and lighting. The location is on a busy street but there is a nearby parking garage and they have valet parking. Overall this is a terrific addition to Charleston’s fine dining scene. The prices are high, even by charleston standards, and reservations are difficult,, better make them a couple weeks in advance for prime times. We found the restaurant a little pretentious, and that takes some of the glow from the experience. Finally, if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, not much here for you. In summary we give it 4.5 clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale (five stars on Google’s scale). FIG remains the one and only Charleston fine dining restaurant with five clams.

I'm still making my way out of the food coma I left in, so bear with me. I've been wanting to try Sorelle since October (it is now February). Every time I remembered to check for reservations, they were only available late in the day so I avoided booking. This time, I snagged one for 9:30 with friends and I was DETERMINED to make it over. We had cocktails up the way and then headed over. We used the valet to avoid parking and then made our way into the restaurant. It is absolutely gorgeous inside! We were led to our table upstairs and greeted by our serving team, who were awesome. Rachel was incredibly thorough and we loved chatting with her! I was 100% on board with getting the tasting menu and luckily I was able to sway my friends also (it didn't take much, let's be honest). I'm a big fan of tasting menus. I am SO glad we did it because I wanted to try so many things and now next time, I have a few favorites I can order while still checking out some other things. Everything was incredible, but I have to say the 'Pillows of Gold' with very good butter were the one thing everyone couldn't stop talking about. I knew going in that this dish had a reputation and it definitely did not disappoint. The swordfish was so tender and also a favorite (especially that sauce!!). The Olive Oil-Fried Patates and the Spinaci e Chili were both excellent complements to the meal and so, so flavorful. Honestly, there was not one thing that came out that we didn't rave about, which is exactly what I hoped for. That 24K Olive Oil Gelato Sundae was everything a dessert should be and more, and my cocktail of choice for the evening - the Sorrento Sun - was a perfect drink to sip during the experience. Our friend went with the wine pairing and also recommended! Make the reservation and make your way over to Sorelle. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was outstanding. Starting at being greeted at door and escorted to bar for a drink (even though we were 15 min late!). David at bar was great. Our servers, Jason and Anna were outstanding from start to finish. The food was excellent. My wife had the PAPARDELLE DI VITELLO. She said it was perhaps some of the best pasta she has ever had (including in Italy)

This is real focaccia/pizza. Best I've had in Charleston hands down. Light, airy, and super crispy. It's close to perfect IMHO. I also own an Italian restaurant that specializes in pizza and this it right up my alley and I give credit where credit is due. Fantastic and can't wait to get it again.

Excellent dinner here. Great cocktails, appetizers, main course and dessert. The atmosphere is so nice, the space is beautiful and so interesting. Ground floor market is great and an excellent place for lunch.
