Pleasantly surprised by this one as some of the other restaurants owned by this group fall short on execution. Not so here, everything was spot on and we'll be back! Favorite dish on a cool winter night, the Short Rib.

I was in this place on New Year's Eve, but was absolutely disappointed. The menu was critically small and what's more, half of the items on it were unavailable to me. I ordered mussels and received 5 pieces on a plate, a piece of my tuna was the size of a matchbox. Then I wanted to order a steak, but it was not available. I chose Rigatoni and White fish, and in the end I received raw tasteless pasta and a small piece of fish. When we complained, the waiter said that she could not do anything and offered dessert. In the end, for $250 I received mini tuna, 5 mussels and a piece of white fish

This place never disappoints! The service is always phenomenal and the food is always excellent. They have the best grilled oysters in Charleston and you can't leave without trying the roasted chicken and spaghetti carbonara!

all around great experience! we were seated immediately outside with no reservation and even though it was chilly out the heaters kept us perfectly warm! the food was so delicious and came out so quickly and the little touch at the end with the free brandy tasting and flower was lovely! highly recommend!!

My husband and I had a great dining experience on Thanksgiving which was also our anniversary dinner. We received 2 glasses of champagne, excellent food and service (Bryce was our server). The stained glass ceiling is incredible. Will be back next time we are in town!

We invested precious thanksgiving meal on tempest and it didn’t do justice to the occasion.
We went for their pre-fix three course for $75 per person and it was a far cry from “lot of food”. We ordered squash soup and clams bake for the first course , the soup hardly had any flavor to it. The clam bake was monotonous. Main course was alright and dessert was overtly sweet. Small portions and complete rip off for “Thanksgiving Meal”.
We were seated outside and didn’t get any festive vibes whatsoever!

Went on a Sunday around 5:30. We didn't have a reservation, but it seemed to be an off-hour and not busy. We were seated outside. Everything was excellent. The service was attentive, making sure everything was well.
The oysters on the half shell were excellent. The roasted shrimp was in a silver bowl on top of black rocks. Very uniquely displayed! Wish I had a picture...
And it was very good.
The mushroom bolognese was also very nice.
At the end there was a red carnation for the lady and each of us got a snifter of bourbon as a digestive. What a wonderful idea to end the meal. Will definitely return.

FYI NO MORE CHEF TASTING! We came here specifically for the chef tasting all the reviews rave about. The food was good’ish. The fish was flavorless and extremely dry. The only reason I am giving it 3.5 stars is waitress really made an effort to make our anniversary special given the circumstance. Maybe the previous chef left which is the reason for the food issues/ lack of inspiration? At least the ceiling was pretty.

Good food. Good service. Pricey. Bread plates and butter knives. No bread. Great deserts. Flounder was great. Roasted shrimp only OK. No options for side dishes

This was the perfect place to spend the last evening of the in-port. The service was fantastic beyond anything I ever experienced. The food and the drinks were fantastic. They were even able to support my gluten allergy. Thank you for a magical night before the storm.
Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate gluten-free and were knowledgeable.

Great meal! Service was fast (we had a 3 year old with us) and kind. Everyone there was very friendly to us. We love this restaurant and were glad to finally bring our family with us.
Positive that I will never return. May never return to Charleston due to my terrible experience. Even if you have a reservation, you'll still wait. Then you'll wait 30+ minutes for them to take your drink order. Then you'll wait some more. Service is awful. Questionable staff. Go somewhere else.
