My wife and I walked in as it started to rain for 3 hours straight. We were so lucky enough to dine at the bar with herculeus as the bartender. With 3 hours on our hands we learned his knowledge for drinks and good food. We just stopped for food but our next trip to Charleston we will stay at the mills.
The restaurant is in a hotel lobby. It feels like more of a bar setting with some tables off to the side so the ambiance is not ideal. Our waiter was very good but the kitchen was very slow. We had plenty of time before our play began and yet we had to cancel our appetizers and just eat the entrees due to time constraints. The entrees were delicious- I had the tagliatelle with shrimp, squid, mussels and fish - very tasty sauce. My husband had the fish which he really enjoyed....
The French Fries were good… that’s the best I got. Service was horrible… with the exception of the bartender who wasn’t very friendly either but he can make a drink! We had a reservation, there was signage asking us to wait to be seated. After waiting a while, we finally wandered in to see where we needed to sit. The bartender seated us. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was mostly super dark meat which tripped me out a little. ? I was finishing my fries...
