WOW. So rarely do food and beverage experiences blow you away. This one did. From the service (Lucy is an angel!) to the atmosphere to the tastes, this place is a slice of literal Heaven on earth. Plenty on the menu for non-gin fans to enjoy. The bites are all so creative and tasty! And the drink menu…. Speechless. Some of the most creative flavor combinations I’ve ever seen. I had the sausage and the Running Rampant and I was truly blown away. The drink boasted a flavor profile that shocked me in the best way. I’m just sad I couldn’t stay all day to try the whole menu! The patio is adorable, and the inside is so cozy and welcoming. The entire staff was lovely. I can’t wait to get back here. Loved this whole experience!Dietary restrictions: When collecting your order, staff asks about dietary needs!

Just ok ! The 2oz drink was good the hummus was different but the lack of service was surprising since no one was in there we got there at 6:50 and waited until two minutes after seven and then they wouldn't let us have the happy hour price. We went ahead and ordered any way , but would not go back.

Small, quaint place with a speakeasy vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails and visit; seated at the bar. Kayla is “poetry in motion” behind the bar; managing multiple complicated cocktail orders along with interesting and entertaining conversation with those seated at the bar. She makes a “mean Sazerac”; probably the best I’ve had. Have patience and don’t rush a well-made, hand crafted cocktail. Wait staff were highly personable and knowledgeable of The Gin Joint main and off menu cocktails. Cheers!

We found this little gem tucked away several feet farther from the road than its neighbors. Came upon it at night and almost missed it. It seemed just a little more private and cozy. My husband and I loved the atmosphere of the place, high ceilings and walls lined with every imaginable gin one could want and a very impressive selection of other liquors, exotic bitters and creative garnishes. I ordered an interesting and elaborate cocktail called The Cat's Eyes, which was good, but not my favorite. There were so many to choose from. Next time I'll try something different. My husband ordered a Bols Genever, a hard-to-find barrel ahead gin. He loved it. I was in the mood for something strong, smoky and peaty, so I switched to Islay scotches. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and professional. Knowing it was going to rain most of the next day, a super kind server prepared a handwritten list of about five places of interest we could enjoy indoors. Stellar. I'm sorry I don't remember her name (blaming it on the scotch!). We will definitely return here whenever we visit Charleston.

I love this place so much. It has been a couple of years since we visited for a drink, and it's always amazing. Quality cocktails in a cool building with an amazing team.

The Gin Joint in Charleston is a quaint and cozy spot with lovely outdoor seating. While the drinks weren't mind-blowing and leaned a bit towards the sweet side for my taste, I appreciate their potential and the charm of the atmosphere. Next time, I'll explore their cocktail menu further to find the perfect fit. In a city known for rich flavors, sometimes simplicity might just be the key.

Cute place and wonderful cocktail.Unfortunately, it was freezing inside and the server could not do anything about it. Plus, the desert we had (cookie cake x2) were not good at all (smells and tasted like fridge or not well unfrozen)

Took 1 hr to get a drink and a pretzel. It would have likely taken longer if we didn’t say anything.

The cheese platter was delicious, service was fantastic, ambiance and cool downtempo music was very welcoming and cozy and the drinks were very well balanced.

Great ambiance, great service and great drinks. Not sure you can ask for more out of a bar. My go-to drink was Uncle Val's with the house tonic and a cucumber garnish. And the bartender staged it perfectly so you can smell the cucumber each time you took a drink. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a more intimate setting to chat with friends while enjoying a drink. ¡Salud!

Dear lord what a wait. We walk in and ask specifically for the specialty bone marrow shot. While we know it's late it's about an hour and half before end of service. It took 53 minutes to produce a few bone marrow shots. The waiter swore it was only 15 minutes. Just a bad experience. Heard great things so maybe give it a second chance.

Delightfully original cocktails, with completely new menus every few months. The food is delicious too!
